ugh.. While I do appreciate the thought and effort, making these perk changes mandatory makes hidden gems like this mod stay hidden gems instead of granting them popularity.
Anyway to get only the XP from Shouting affecting Speech part of the mod? I use perk overhauls so I don't care too much for that part. I guess I could try putting it at the top of my load order, but I would rather have a basic gain experience to Speech from Shouting mod.
The original value was 10 in the script, which I thought I changed to 5 in the most recent version. Are you using the latest version, or did the archive not package correctly?
In any case, that was intentional because the "Skill Use Mult" in Actor Values is set to only 0.36 for Speech; to compare, Alteration has a 3.8. So 5 * 0.36 is about half as fast as Alteration, figuring 1 s base cooldown = 1 Magicka used.
I suppose it's still faster than Destruction, and Shouts do have the further advantage of not taking up your hands, so I'll cut the script number to 2.
found out why this mod gives soo much xp per shout even at higher levels of speech. the script that was made to give xp for shouts multiplies the xp ontop of the regular xp gain for that type of spell by 10 instead of 1.
so if your using flames for example you only get a multiplier of 1.35 which is what unrelenting force goes off of but with the way the script was set up theres an additional variable i think that got put in by accident to instead of having the base xp mult be 1 its 10.
so that was the major problem everything else though looks awesome about the mod and if again there was a 1/2 skill gain mod which would be pretty easy to make just change that variable 1 to .5 it would probly scale alot better.
i think what im going to try is setting speech to 50 so that i still have some levels of speech to get regular xp from but so im not jumping 15 levels in one shout to see how that effects this mod. i would still have to spend perk points but this way im not getting as much regular xp to move my char along.
oh for anybody wanting to do that its player.setav speechcraft 50
yeah just seemed like it was faster than if leveling regular magic would be great to have an option between this version and one thats 1/2 as much xp as this one or 1/4 to try out to see if it effects other shouts other than unrelenting force xp directly.
def gives me a reason to use the speech skill tree which is awesome would be cool if there was a incentive to get to that last perk 1000 gold. like a shout auto recharges occasionally like 7% of the time.

How exactly did you debuff the Talos amulet and blessing? I'm trying to disable it in the creation kit but my attempts failed.

Most skills advance very quickly at low levels. For example, try setting Illusion to 1 and casting Courage--you'll also advance many levels.
