Update: Whiterun, Solitude, Windhelm, Markarth, Riften, and Falkreath are completed and ready for launch. Only have Dawnstar, Morthal, and Winterhold left to finish and the 2013 edition will be ready for upload. Check back in a couple more days.
It's been a while since I looked so it's hard to say but I'm pretty sure they are random but there are 41 of each type total. Never fear though... the 2013 Edition of this mod will be out before Easter.
Well, I opened it up in TES5Edit and the eggs are unbalanced (7 type 5 in Solitude, less of others to compensate), just coincidental that I hadn't found more than 5 in one of the other towns (which there must be, to keep the 41 intact). Thanks for the mod.
I have a question. Does the Easter egg hunt get messed up if I've downloaded the mod that overhauls the villages and adds new trees and things? Would some eggs be inaccessible?
Finally got around to eggy hunting again. =3 Found 25 in Solitude, Windhelm and Markarth. I know I'll only find 24 in Whiterun as one's fallen through the world, and I'll have another go at the Riften ones again; hopefully the one missing last time was just because I was being blind. Then, on to the smaller towns. =D
