Historically, female warriors were so rare, most people would call you an idiot if you said one existed, they'd be ones like Joan of Arc, so seeing female soldiers, bandits, and more, weird thinking about it. Just gonna say its a good thing fantasy doesn't care about historical accuracy to periods similar.
I mean, that was true for the Roman Empire and the Chinese Empire, which both had a lot of impact on English (and subsequently American culture), but before they gained influence by conquering their neighboring countries there were plenty of examples of women filling warrior roles. The Dahomey tribe in Africa, for instance, had an almost exclusively all-female group of warriors called The Minon (although in popular culture they're referred to as The Dahomey Amazons). The Vikings, whom The Nords are based on, had spear maidens and although there were more men fighting than women, they were not discouraged from joining either. And besides, when have pirates or bandits ever really cared about gender roles, they're already breaking the law. I'm not trying to come down on you or anything, by the way, I was just pointing out that different regions had different norms, so it's not exactly fair to say that everyone in medieval times had the same sexist beliefs.
@Devon The Old Norse shield maidens are seen as a myth, there isn't any historical evidence that they existed. This stemmed from a Norse burial site containing what appeared to be a women adorned with an ancestral blade, armor and other objects commemorating most male warriors. As for pirates the only known famous female pirate was Anne bonny. Who did no fighting but was famous for her "go get em" personality.
The reality is men protected women from violence because of evolution. Women are not as strong, fast, and do not have the same lung capacity as men thus do not utilize adrenaline as well. It's almost has if....... women evolved to give birth and nurture. As men evolved to protect(this includes hunting and fighting), build and lead. Yet the concept of modern feminism has nothing to do with equality but everything to do with making women have more masculine roles...Even if it means re-writing history.

As she was a young 13 year old maid that dared to stand up to England. It was Jean d'Orléans, who led the army against the English she was excluded from military councils. There was moment she would have been in battle, unclear if she tried to fight. This was during a moment in melun where Joan was captured by the English and used as ransom.
Quite amusing the many heated debates a mod like this, or the wish for changing the game in the way this mod does, creates. People ascribing weird attributes to someone seeking to change the gameplay this way... Anything but authenticity.

I feel unimmersed while killing as many females as males.
When it comes to war and conflict, any faction/nation/organization is much better off leaving its females at home raising boys to be the soldiers of the next generation. One female could serve in combat for about 10 years and get killed or stay at home and have 5 kids over those 10 years to replenish future armies. Which do you think is better for the army? If a certain faction made its women fight just as much as men, it would lose the war very quickly because it would have a much smaller portion of women at home to give birth to/raise the future generation of said faction.
Now sure there are very powerful females in game (Potema) as well as in combat in real life but at the same time, said females have to be so damn good that they are better off in the field than at home raising kids/making sure the current soldiers have a home to return to.

Same here. For me it's not a matter of not wanting to kill a certain gender in a game, but seeing half or more of a force who relies on brute strength to be female, is plain stupid. "Fantasy" or not, I find the best worlds are immersive because of basic truths they take from the real world. The general roles / responsibilities that men and women have taken through thousands of years being one of them.
Although I wouldn't mind if there were *some* female bandits. It makes more sense for them to show up in bandit gangs than in professional armies IMO.

Does this really need to be ported? I have heard it both ways, some have said that really simple changes don't need to be converted and others act like everything needs to be. What do you think?

I love the idea of this mod but wouldn't mind to see the occasional woman join up with bandit gangs as that makes more sense to me than to see women in professional armies like Imperials/Stormcloaks.

Load the ESP in CK, edit something like a name or anything, then edit again to cancel what you just did. Close and save, boom.
