    How do I help the Jarl w/ his dragon problem, to advance the civil war story line?

      Extremly late reply, for anyone asking the same question
      open your console --->  press ~  tilde key on your keyboard to open the console, and then type

      setstage MQ102 30

      Then press  ~ tilde again to close the console.
      This will instruct you to head to the Jarl of Whiterun with news of the
       dragon attack at Helgen.  The quest *should* run as normal from this point forward.

      Extremly late reply, just happen to see this, but for anyone interested in this, the code is:

      setstage MQ102 30

      after inputting this code in this will instruct you to head to the Jarl of Whiterun with news of the
       dragon attack at Helgen.
       The quest *should* run as normal from this point forward.
      about all i can tell you. Cheers!

    @Jebus23: Good to hear you enjoyed the idea, it's what kept me playing the game.

    @macadamstreet: I didn't know, actually Seems like they've taken it off by now, but it's nice to know it's been featured somewhere.

    @MICROSOFZ: Excactly.

    @Owltfr13: Listen to MICROSOFZ.

    Has anyone gotten this mod to work with NMM? My game starts at helgen & not on a ship. If not, where do I put this file for manual install? I am using Windows 7.

      Wow 1st of all you don't install saves using NMM.. (STEP 1) Go to your documents (STEP 2) Click the file "My Games " ( STEP 3) Click the file named " Skyrim " (STEP 4) Go look for the file named " Saves " and click it you'll see all your saves there and FINALLY (STEP 5 ) Download the file when file is done unzip it with winrar or 7zip then open the file copy the save and paste it in the " Saves " folder then BOOM! Your done. Your Welcome

    @Stannie: Thanks, good to know you approve.
    Also, I honestly don't know which mods I had on when I created the save, cause it was on a different PC and I had a shitload of 'em

    @rottenhaus: Once again, I have no idea how to fix problems with the Civil War quests or whatever.
    It's very much possible that it can't be done at all.
    EDIT: After careful consideration, I figured it might be done by using console commands to activate a particular part of the quest.
    Seems like this guy can tell you how: http://news.softpedia.com/news/How-to-Use-the-Skyim-Console-to-Get-Past-Broken-Quests-on-the-PC-242822.shtml

    Good luck!

      This is a great little mod.
      I never ended up using it because I liked the idea of eventually doing the main quest, even if I despise 'chosen one all powerful' story arcs.
      This mod gave me the idea to start the game using alternate start live another life mod, at the docks in solitude, raggy clothes, no items, 0 gold, with a mod that makes it really hard to earn money as the amount is reduced. It has greatly improved the game for me, thanks to you.

    Winlok -

    No problem at all with you uploading this. My original file was just a savegame.

    I noticed that your save had mod(s) present when you created it though, and I would suggest that you include in your description which plugins you had loaded when you created the save.

    @Winlok:
    The original creator of this save game was StannieDum, the file can be found at '/mods/5720' (without quotations). The save there has been superseded by a mod of some description. Both are brilliant saves for starting afresh! Thanks!
