Anyone find a solution for "failed to map parent link bhkrigidbody | skeleton.nif"? I'm downloading the video right now, but I found this page while trying to troubleshoot that error everyone's having :T
EDIT: Following the video had me set Constraint to 0, which DID remove the error, but breaks the skeleton completely. Now it will not preview properly in CK and crashes the game if spawned in.
First, thanks for the tutorial, though I have everything in there, the pelvis and the body collision along with the SaddleBone, got everything all setup and when I turn the preview on for the copied race, blank... The stock Skeleton works fine, this one, not with the pasted branch in. I'm trying to do the Deer, the saddle bone is pointing in the right direction, on the last spine (3).
Anyone have any suggestions? I'd rather just do this myself, as I've got this skeleton setup for another mod and I need to use this one specifically.
please make an updated version coz nifskope used is undownloadable now and the trying the same for the newer versions is really pissing me off since there is alot less shown
i was following all the steps but for adding the Pelvis bhkRigidBody to the saddleBone second entity, i found that the wolf doesn't have a bhkblendcollisionobject directly under the pelvis NiNode like the others do. what do i do instead?
ive made the saber cat a summonable mount works great...i can ride it and it last for the amount of time summons good...the problem is i cant see it and when im on it im tilted to the right about 15 degrees...the mod file and .nif file i use are in a mod file i published...the race is saber cat mount race and actor is saber cat mount enchantment spell spell book and staff are all involving the name saber cat mount...the objects and spell book are not placed in game just use the help search in the console and search saber
Gtubff - after you extract the meshes BSA it's in meshes/actors/sabercat/character assets. Can anyone tell me why my Nifskope isn't showing the files like in this tutorial.... I can list them all as one long list with no tree, which seems to be making things go wrong.... I just don't know how to view them in the tree structure where they show all the nodes, I only show like 6 on my horse skeleton. Yeah, I know to click the view doo-hicky, but that isn't working to make it look like the tree structure this guy has. Any help would be appreciated. Right now I jump on my cat.... facing a random direction and then I control the cat while my dude stays behind up in the air.... pretty funny really.... ok now it's old already. LOL
Note : went back to Nifskope to make corrections and all the numbers are changed.... hmmmm I just can't figure how to get the nodes to show up in a tree listing all the numbers for nodes. I have everything selected in view options.... confusing.

Go to View->Block List and Show Blocks in tree.
