This mod just adds a perk that allows an extra slot and does no changes to the power level of the enchantment there is a mod called Blazes Enchantment Divider that from its description sounds like it would work better for those who want a lot more slots and reduced power to the extras you might want to give it a try.
I made this mod mostly just to be able to craft items like I had seen in the game with 3 enchantments like certain amulets and weapons though some items like the archmage robes have a lot more on them during my testing certain dual enchants if used together would result in the description not being able to be seen so I left this mod to just add the one extra bringing the total to 3 and posted it as I am certain others would like a simple small mod that allowed the same.
I always try and search for any similer mods before making one since there is no need to duplicate the work of others though sometimes nothing is found till after I have made one either the search didnt show any based on the words I used or in some cases people are working on Similer mods at the same time without knowing about the others.
Since I made this mod I found some others that did basicly the same though most like Blazes Enchantment Divider have gone a lot more indepth in the changes and how it works than I did. So if you want a more complex mod that does other things than just add one slot use the word ENCHANT in the search bar you will find lots of mods that do various changes to enchanting from adding extra slots, changing power levels of the enchants to adding new enchants.
I would actualy prefer more enchants with less power. My armor now gives 50hp and 30%hp regen but what i really would like to see is something with a lot more effects - 20hp 10%regen 10magicka 15%destruction cost and so on...

Outstanding mod you created here. 3 enchants seem to all show up in the description, I have not seen one cut off yet. 3 is perfect too, no need for more. Well done and thanks for posting this.
The descriptions are in the enchantments themselves all I did was add a perk that increases the number you can add to the item due to the way the game puts the descriptions together the longer descriptions will not fully display or will take up space causing others to not fully display unless you look at it under active effects. If there is a way to merge the descriptions or shorten them without editing each enchantment which would cause conflicts with mods that alter the enchantments I have not found it yet.
I missed seeing that one when I looked as I search and try not to make mods that do the same as one that already exists.
when adding a 4th effect the text would not display correctly when looking at the item the number of effects is controlled by a variable that is set/changed by the perk as having 3 effects sometimes cuts off part of the description with 4 it may not show one of the effects at all on the item. short of making new effects for combined ones like add (number) to all (skills) so it would display properly like one amulet that reduced the cost of casting all types of magic. still have not found the method that is used to restrict it to items not enchanted though it may have something to do with form lists as there are a lot of them listing the existing enchanted items we find in the game.
Update there is a keyword attached to certain items called MagicDisallowEnchanting this marks items needed to finish quests like the Gauldur Amulet Fragments and other items to prevent disenchanting/destroying them.
