Not sure if this is a bug or anything but when you decide to move in somewhere after let's say getting married or adopting a kid you don't see it as a option to select it as
I have used this mod for the past couple of years, and have made it my central spot for living and storage. It's a great mod, and thank you for your work and sharing. One thing - after installing Hearthfire, I found I cound not sleep in the bed. I can drop a bedroll and sleep fine in the house, but when I try to activate the bed I just get a clicking sound. Any thoughts on how to resolve this? Again, thanks for a great mod.
I've been trying out different fairly lore friendly houses in and around the riverwood area.... came across yours and thought I'd try it since it was situated in a spot where I thought a small house might look good at.
It is good and does seem to fit mostly.
few suggestions that I'm not even sure are possible: 1) extend the brickwork/foundation on the riverside out to the edge of the deck. This would lend more credence to the slight increase of space on that side of the basement.
2) the 'hidden' chamber would 'feel' more proper if it had a carved into the rock look rather than a finished brick & mortar wall. This would give the sense that a previous owner created the hidden chamber by digging into the hill/mountainside.
3) some tweaking still needs to be done where the path from the wooden stairs meets the original stone road. I didn't try with a follower but my own character had trouble getting onto the path to the house. I either had to jump onto it or go to the extreme right (next to the guard wall).
other notes: the rack of containers in the bedroom was an interesting idea, a small ladder to reach the top one would be nice as it does seem a bit far fetched that you can put stuff in the highest container and yet standing next to it, it appears to be impossible to reach. Tho with all the other containers in the hidden room, removing it wouldn't make that much of an impact either.
I think that I may continue to play with this particular home as it doesn't seem to be outlandishly packed with tons of objects. And I suppose that I could be persuaded to believe that a previous occupant finished up the basement's hidden room so it didn't have the carved rock look...
Only thing left that riverwood needs is a smelter...
oh and you'll be happy to know that it doesn't interfere with the placement of the dragon souls to perks mod's location tho it is practically in the backyard... convenient don't ya think?
hmm... maybe a good quest to earn the house would be to have Alvor ask the player to clear out the Embarshard mine so that he could have access to the smelter that is there....
btw, can some one point to me where to suggest mods for people to make? i would love to have a cottage house like this inside shadowgreen carvan cave at the very top and maybe a little shack near the pond inside the cave at the bottom for fish.
and once a mod like that comes, that my friend.. is how cave men came to exist, billions of years ago!
Yeah that seems to still be a problem I thought I got it fixed a while back but still very glitchy with followers. For now I recommend telling them to wait at the bottom and you should be ok. Sorry, and i'll try to fix it on the weekend and thanks for the great comments guys!
Like posted below - the follower cant enter the hut, and once she walk up the stairs, she has problems with getting out of the path once i leave the house. Other than that - very nice mod

*thumbs down*
It's away from almost all other Riverwood mods, and gives a very scenic view of Riverwood.
But this mod is exactly at same location as another housemod (so choose one or the other):
"AZ Riverwood House" by AurinZalas (mod requires HearthFire DLC):
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/30391
There's a bit of overlap with this mod too..
"Riverwood Fishing Shack" by RyyZan (not a full overlap):

Please make these mods compatible (at least resolve with Fishing Shack).
looks cool but i didnt like the location of it (i like the other side of riverwood

When I was experimenting with modding, I made a private house, on the exact same spot, with the same stairs and lightpole.... "how bizar"
