    I'm not sure if you're still working on this mod, but is broken, at least on my game. If I cast detect life it will only affect the living creatures on that area, if i move outside the area where it take effect other living creatures will not light up.
    For example, if I cast the spell at the Witherun stables and go to the meadery north, the guards that are there will not light up, and the time hasn't run out.

    Neat! Could you also release another .esp which does not distinguish between hostile and non-hostile? You didn't know in Oblivion either

    aways looked funny to me see machines with tis spell, well the good point of ur mode is that its more for thieves now.
    I would like see Detect Dead and Detec Machines(electric aura) also now.

    Right: it's more like Aura Whisper, because that's actually useful. Aura Whisper also has a MUCH bigger range - but it also has a major bug: if you use it in some of the TG/DB quests, it makes guards do the "stop that" speech even if they were 100 miles away.

    I thought about Detect Dead but didn't bother with it in the end because Draugr are either moving around and easy to hear anyway, or "sleeping" and easy to spot or sneak past.

    Yes, it's definitely possible - but then you also need new books etc, which means either finding good places to put them or having conflicts with the 500 mods that just dump everything on Farengar etc. So I just used the range of the original spell and picked a duration that was long enough to be useful. The Magicka used to cast it will easily have regenerated by the time it wears off, even if you have the Atronach penalty (and it's a proper Alteration spell, so Stability will make it last 50% longer).
    FYI, the range is 100 (indoors), which is what the limit of a custom DetLife spell in Oblivion is, so it's not like it's some gimped "Detect Life in 15ft for 10s" Novice-level spell.

    That sounds like it would need clunky scripting hacks, which is beyond me. I'd say you'd be a lot better off modding Hunter's Sight to include this like it does in Oblivion.

    Would be nice if you could "dispell" it by casting it again before the effect wore off. Seems like a vampire character should be able to do this without any magic as it's in a vampires nature to detect life. So I'd like to have this as an ability for vampires that allows them to toggle the effect on/off at will without using magic.

    I think the balance of this spell was just fine. It wasnt as powerful as in oblivion but the isage was not to be a part of active combat butas a preparation for combat. U learn where enemies are and then sneak and look for them.

    The effect this mod is causing is already in the game with the shout "aura whisper".

    But of course there are enogh players who love this mod, so i was just sounding opinion. Nothing more.
