Great mod but I just wanna add that the casting time also affects the cost, and multiplicatively at that. Say you're running both Cost x5.0 and Time x0.5, guess how much magicka it'd actually cost.
If you guessed x2.5, you'd be absolutely right.
Anyone running Time x0.0 may have also realized by now that your Dual Casting is practically free. Well, same reason.
With this mod and other three simple mods I have customized the magic system so that it is fun and balanced at the same time. These four mods together have the same result as many magic overhauls such as "Balanced magic", with the advantages of modularity and customization.
1) Dual Casting Choices -> I chose x2.8 mana cost (same as vanilla) and x2.5 damage (instead of x2.2 in vanilla). 2) Better dual casting and magicka regen -> Just the magicka regeneration esp 3) Impact - Perk Effect Reduction -> I chose the 40% chance 4) Improved Destruction Magic -> Only "Improved Destruction Perks.esp"
Just in case someone else is looking for something similar.
If I load this mod's .esp's last, will it override any other magic mods I'm using that "balance" dual casting? I really like the range of customization you have. Thanks!
ya, with no gui to select the options you want NMM puts all the files in data and its a mess. i had that problem with a couple mods now, so i just install those manually.
i seem to be having trouble gettting this mod to work at all, i know that i installed it in the proper directory and the data files are selected, i installed via steam
