In my own game I've edited the spells to restore magicka and provide magic resistance inside the circle. I felt the regen magicka effect was a little underpowere/redundant.
I also used the visuals from circle of protection as it is blue and it seemed fitting for a magic focused circle spell.
Yeah, I've been trying, but other things keep swamping me under. I think even a smaller scale effect would work well. .nif's are very undocumented as Brumbek noted on the main page, so working with them is an exercise in patience at the very best, and I'm not good at it anyway.
I'm still trying though. Mostly because I have another mod like this in mind.
i'm not very fond of the guardian circle animation for this spell. you should just make a new texture from one of the runes. that would be perfect. throw in some new particle effects and you have yourself an awesome spell.
Yeah, I'd noticed that, and it seems to be one of those issues that's built into Skyrim. It's either too quiet or too loud.
On the other hand, it is kind of hard to miss the big glowing circle. I may do an optional no sound version. I'll look into it. Thanks for the feed back.
Endorsed. Just had a chance to finally play with this last night with a new mage character (I found the Novice-level tome as random loot). It may allow my mage to play using unenchanted armor rather than robes with regen, but it definitely requires some strategy to plan where to cast the circle in cases where I have to kite enemies around.
My only minor quibble is that the sound volume of the circle is kinda high, so it makes hard to hear enemies behind me. (I suppose the flipside is that if the volume was too low, then I might not realize when the spell ends.)
It is added to the lists for purchase as a Spell Tome. For some reason though, neither Lucan Valerius, nor Faendal in Dragonsreach seem to carry it. Try Belethor in Whiterun, and I know for a fact that Collette Marence will sell it. It will also appear as random loot.
Of course, if something else has changed the lists, it might not work, so open the console and help casting will bring it right up. I suggest adding the tomes and learning them that way, so you don't end up with something that seems like it should work but that doesn't.

Let me know if you have any other problems.
