I like that you summon it to you to get it in the first place, fearful of where I'd end up if I teleported to it's default location though
Only one problem, the skin's not showing, and I'm instead getting the "purple snow" like texture over the stone. It's the last thing in my load order, so it's texture should not be overwritten or deleted. Is it resolution sensitive? I do have some higher resolution textures in my world (like SMIM - Skyrim Mesh Improvement Mod).
Originally the 'Hearthstone' texture worked but somewhere along the way the link between the model used and it texture seems to have been lost. TBH there is no actual mesh in the BSA but the custom texture is there but without the proper links it will show as the "purple snow" Try an earlier version that does not have the 'summon hearthstone' spell it was about then when it started to go wrong, the very first version did work as far as I'm concerned but I've not tried that one for a long time as I use NifScope and fix it up myself. It'd be funny to see a Mod reviewer or multiple mod reviewers have this inconspicuously placed in one of their videos, like on a kitchen table in a bowl or something.
Heck it could become the new "Where's Waldo" and the mod reviewers will hide them in the most absurdly inconspicuous places and people will try to find it... Where's the Hearthstone?
oooh thats a cool idea, hrm i dont know how it happened although its not the only case of weird scripts ive had lately usually reinstalling the mod fixes it, so ill just do that.....but that hearth stone summon sounds like a great idea!....also maybe add a spellbook for the power and add it into a mage base or sth...just for immersion
@tred That's strange - I've tested this in games with all manner of other mods installed, and I always get the item... it's the same part in my script that adds the spell and the item, so doubly wierd that you'd get one and not the other! Perhaps I should add a second power (usable whenever) that summons the stone back to the player instead
