    This page is the first result on searching for RainMeter NexusMods, so I may as well post this information here as I cant be hooped making another Nexus Page.

    I managed to edit a desktop search box, so you can enter a search term, just to search NexusMods.

    STEPS.

    1. Download Rainmeter.
    2. Open Up Google.ini in Illustro
    3. Paste this code over the top of the existing

    ; Lines starting ; (semicolons) are commented out.
    ; That is, they do not affect the code and are here for demonstration purposes only.

    [Rainmeter]
    ; This section contains general settings that can be used to change how Rainmeter behaves.
    Update=1000
    Background=#@#Background.png
    ; #@# is equal to Rainmeter\Skins\illustro\@Resources
    BackgroundMode=3
    BackgroundMargins=0,34,0,14

    [Metadata]
    ; Contains basic information of the skin.

    colorText=255,255,255,205

    [measureInput]
    ; The InputText.dll plugin has special powers: it allows user input.
    ; However, it's not the easiest way to start learning Rainmeter. Get a

    Y=40
    W=190
    H=14
    Text=Search...

    [meterSeperator]
    Meter=Image
    MeterStyle=styleSeperator
    X=10
    Y=52
    W=190
    H=1

    Then save, refresh skin etc and boom, you can direct search Nexus Mods straight from your desktop.

    2018 here - to keep this working edit the same value as mentioned below, but you are changing it to >

    RSS3=https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/rss/updatedtoday/

    I found the issue with this not working. It seems the author simply hasn't updated it since Nexus changed with site headings a few months ago. You need to open up UserVariables.inc and change this line to:

    RSS3=http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/rss/updatedtoday/

    EDIT: To make things easier on people, I'll include a link to download the edited file. If the author asks me to take it down, I will gladly comply, but he doesn't seem to be very active at the moment...

      Just wanted to mention to people that it's very easy to make this work with other Nexus games. I copied the folder, changed the name it displays and the RSS link, and now I have one up for both Skyrim and Fallout: New Vegas!

      This is incredibly handy, and it can even see mods before they are technically "published". You can't open mod via the link, but I can also see the description page's text by using Mod Organizer's viewer and changing the mod ID number. :]

    Just wondering if this still works, due to the box simply being blank after installing (RSS box)

    @tredmillion:

    Don't worry about it, as lucasjose501 said, he will update his RSS feed with my suggestions and makes a new upload for it here.

    So stay tuned!

    If you have a hard time picturing my modification suggestion, here is a screenshot of it:
