The Andoran project really wants this exterior as part of their Ashpit daedric plane, but the author is banned, there is no contact data and the private messagebox on nexus is disabled for banned users.
It does say it is a modders resource in the description, but I would really like to ask permission and thank the guy.
The steps to the west entrance can't be followed by the followers. Then inside I thought I would be in High Hrothgar, nearly no difference, seems to be a less ore more exact copy. Thought somehow I have been teleported to there. I left hastily out of the east entrance. Also there the followers don;t follow the stairs but stumble against the rocks.
Oh! So sorry for you inconvenience! I have actually (I think) solved the problem regarding this mod waaaaay back in middle of 2012. I still have the .esp but have been so idle in not uploading it I just simply forgotten about it. This mod is really a modders resource to enhance and enjoy since the "lonely mountain" in whiterun hold is unique since no other individual mountain exists in Skyrim.

It appears that your mod here, somehow, interferes with the quest "Hitting the Books."
The quest works perfectly fine until I went to turn it in/complete it. The crash would occur when the NPC would try to give me a reward. The reward for this quest is 4 or 5 skill books. My suspicion is that you somehow edited something related to those books, but I am not 100% sure. I have absolutely no idea how.
Also, I spent about 40 minutes disabling/re-enabling/testing all my mods and it was this one exactly that caused the problem.
