I can't imagine playing without this mod but with this mod, I can't access werewolf perk tree.(moonlight tales mod) I tried changing it with keyboard but it doesn't works.
I downloaded this because i want to quick switch for my different weapons and spells on favorites, but it doesn't switch things i've favorited by pressing the hotkeys buttons... I put my sword+shield on group 1, my bow on group 2, healing spells on group 3 and summons on group 4. How can i do the trick? I just want to press a hotkey and change what i have in hands without showing any menu. I see no use for this mod if this simple function isn't working.
Not sure if I understand what you're problem is, but first, in case you don't know (and I don't mean to insult your intelligence, I just can't tell if you know), you have HOTKEYS and you have GROUPS. You program the hotkeys by, in the Favorites menu, selecting the item or spell you want, and pressing Num Pad 1-8. That corresponds to D-Pad 1-4 and D-Pad + RB for 5-8. Your GROUPS are what are programmed in the Group 1-8 Focus menu in Favorites.
The way I do it, is I don't bother programming weapons into groups (you can substitute spells for weapons here) -- I HOTKEY them into 1-4: my sword is 1, shield 2, knife or 2H as 2, and bow as 4. Then, with Groups, I use those only for armour & clothing (with some exceptions; if I regularly use a different weapon with my stealth outfit, I might program that weapon into my Stealth group). In SKYUI, you have the options of removing gear and emptying hands when you swap into a group, so for example if you have three armour groups but only use one sword and one shield, you might want to keep unchecked "empty hands" so that it doesn't remove your sword and shield every time you switch armour.
Pretty sure that this is abandoned, but if not, or if the author has given permission for someone else to work on this, I have a suggestion: change the contextual menu button for Favorites/ Toggle Focus to "Y". It's now "B", which with default button maps doesn't work because B overrides everything as "Exit". So all you do is exit. If you remap "Shout" from Y to B, then this mod goes along with that and uses Y as Toggle Focus, but it would be better if you didn't have to swap your basic Shout and Jump buttons to get this functionality.
And yes I know that you can unplug the controller and use keyboarding to achieve same, but that screws up your inputs half the time.
Thanks for such a god-sent mod. Works out of the box as desired. Even works with Sky UI. Thanks modder for creating this. I tried previously other controller mods but to no avail. This one works perfectly. Endorsed!
Thank you! Maybe it's because I started playing Skyrim on the 360, but I definitely prefer a controller over kb&m. Makes me feel less like a robot when I can move at more than two different paces.
Mod works as advertised, though binding items to hotkeys 5-8 sometimes takes a couple tries. Using bound items is problem-free, though, so it's all good.
Guys, this mod is abandoned, it has been for a long, long time. Search the nexus for other mods, there's a bunch more out there that allow you to use a gamepad, including one that is a program to let you customize your pad to your liking.
