That was always something that bugged me about Skyrim. I'd played Oblivion before it (as I'm sure many of us had) and arrows stuck around for quite a bit longer than in Skyrim. Not sure if more arrows stayed in the body (always tried to avoid becoming a pincushion), but they definitely stuck around for a good amount of time (I'd like to say a minute, but I never timed it).
In Oblivion, it felt more frustrating to be hit by an archer and have that arrow sticking out of your gut for a while, knowing that even putting on or taking off your armor wouldn't remove it. It was there until it despawned. It made it personal when you got stuck with one, then had to walk around Bruma with an arrow sticking out of your shoulder.
In Skyrim, it just wasn't there. Yeah, you took some damage, and sure, if you played in third person all the time, you'd see the arrow. Someone like me who travels in third and fights in first... Unless it was the last thing someone did before I started traveling, or I got blindsided and now have an arrow in my elbow, I never saw the arrows. I knew they were there, but they were always gone before I could leave a fight.
As for the number of arrows, I also thank you for fixing that problem. On top of an appallingly low time counter of 10 seconds before removing an arrow (might as well not even have the arrow, then, and just make arrows a spell...), the fact that if you managed to pick on enough archers and jump to third person view, you'd only ever see 3 arrows in your character at once... Well, I can't use the word I'd love to use here, so I'll say it sucked.
I'm no immersion freak. Sure, I like seeing things when my characters get hurt, having arrows and thinned ice-spikes (yeah, another annoyance, let's shoot tree-trunk sized icicles at someone and not make those disappear in a reasonable amount of time, but arrows, pfft, we'll just vanish those) sticking out of 'em after a good fight, but I'm not going to say we need to go see a healer for removal. The vanishing arrow system works, provided one gives more time to see the arrows afterward.
As for more damage, I don't mind it. I always felt arrows and archery to be a bit behind the strength of a sword or mace or axe, so it's nice to see a slight damage boost.
I have looked at 2 arrow mods like this and i have to say i prefer yours, i looked at the increase damaged and got worried, because i would like it to be the same, but then i saw there was an option to keep it the same so i am now happy again, but then there is a increase in arrows looted back, i actually made it once with an arrow mod to decrease it, but it is at vanilla now and i would rather it not increase, if you can, could you make it so there is an optional file to not have the increase chance? If not i will just hope the abt arrows mod overwrites this in the area of loot chances.
