Hello! Would this mod would in AE as well? It's one of my essentals and I'm missing it so much now that I'm exploring AE!

No longer seems to detect undead.

Edit: Use the "Detect life detects more" mod also on the Nexus to "restore" functionality for now.

For me, the mod works. So I have endorsed it.

I tried all 3 rings and each worked as stated. I have not had a chance to really test out the stealth aspect of the invisibility ring, other than to put it on & then see myself disappear. The detect life/dead ring took about 5 seconds to "turn off" once the ring was removed, but for me, that's just fine as the ring worked every time I put it on & took it off. I really like how the ring detects everything all at once. The night vision ring worked as it should.

*Update* - The Nighteye ring continues to work as it should & the detect Life & Death ring works as well. However, while the invisibility ring turns you invisible, it does not seem to actually make you any more stealthy. Perhaps this is just on my end? I used a potion of invisibility and it had the same visual effect, but I actually seemed to be more stealthy than when I had the ring on. I tested the ring on & off vs a regular low lvl bandit and he detected me just as quickly, regardless if I had the ring on. I also noticed that if I was attacked while I had the ring on, that I could now see my left arm but not the bow itself which was still invisible. The rest of my body was still invisible. Kinda silly seeing an arm "running" around.

Still worth the endorsement as the other 2 rings work, but the invisible enchantment seems to be broken for me.

Thank you for making it & sharing.

Can you upload a version which does not add the rings to the player, but puts them in QASmoke instead?

The mod is working for me, but for some odd reason it's stripping me of my armor every time I active one of the rings. I also noticed that the item is not labelled as ring - the icon is a shield instead.

Everything is working as it should be but the invisibility ring is not. I can't see myself but others can easily!!

I've figured out how to allow the Detect Life ring to also detect the undead, daedra, and machines. I tested my changes and I was able to detect atronachs, draugr, vampires, daedra, and dwarven spiders. I'm not the mod author, so I'll explain what I changed:

    • The spell (starts with TriRing and has DetectLife in the name) points to four magic effects: Detect Life Enemy Exterior/Interior and Detect Life Friend Exterior/Interior. These are the original effects so each of them contains the conditions that prevent the effect from detecting the categories above. These four magic effects must be duplicated, and the conditions deleted from the duplicates. There was another condition, NoDetectLife, that I left in the duplicated magic effects, not sure if it matters.
    • Once you have created the four new magic effects and deleted the (undead, daedra, machine, I think there was one more) conditions, go back to the mod's spell, TriRing...DetectLife, delete the references to the four original magic effects, and add references to the new ones. Each of these references also has a condition. The condition uses the IsHostileActor function. The easiest thing I found to do was to find the game's original Detect Life spell and copy the four conditions in it to the TriRing...DetectLife spell.

Only the mod's .esp file needs to be changed, the script is unaffected. I'm sorry if my directions above are confusing! If the mod author would contact me, I'd be happy to explain the changes in better detail.

@Knightblade2: I've noticed the same thing. I think the game doesn't even take your visibility (or lack thereof) into account unless you're using sneak-mode.
