For anyone that it doesn't work for, after you put the extracted files in the scripts folder you have to load your save and change your race to something else then your desired race again then transform. At least that's what worked for me with Vampire Lord and the Werewolf form.
For those that want to do this for Special Edition, you need the BSA extractor. Here are the steps.
1. Obtain the BSA extractor from here - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/974/ 2. Create a new folder called VampLordFix (or whatever) 3. Run the BSA extractor above. Drop this mod's BSA into the tool. Put the extracted script folder into your new folder. 4. Copy this mod's esp file into the new folder. 5. Zip up the new folder into a file. The file should contain the esp file and a scripts folder with a pex file in it. 6. Use Nexus Mod Manager to add the new mod via Add Mod from File Option (the large + sign) and select the new zip file from step 5.
Done.
To mod author, feel free to add this SSE version as an optional download file here or in the SSE portal. Man I spent hours trying to fix the vamp problem on my own. Thanks for posting this!
I'm using this in SSE and it works fine apart from one thing. I can only stay in Vampire Lord form for 5 seconds.. after this it reverts back automatically. Anybody know what's up with that?
To clarify for other users trying to use this mod for the werewolf script fix. You can only do it for vampires since the werewolf script fix does not include a BSA. Maybe try the guide on a different mod that does the same thing?
Vampire Lord Fix solved my issue with reverting form removing keyword: ActorTypeUndead, Vampire, and script issues. Followed the instructions warlockiiii posted above to the letter and it was an immediate miracle solution to my problem that I would've had to uninstall BetterVampires to resolve since I'm sure as hell not going to manually go through hundreds of mods to potentially figure out which one is modifying the script(s) BV needs to function properly. If I have any issues that I'm fairly to very certain are caused by this script fix, I'll come back and update. Despite being form43 and not "properly" updated to for SE, it functions as expected so far. Anyway, thanks to those above for being absolutely wonderful people. I hope the last decade has been good for you with all the world has gone through during it.
Mod does fix the race, but gives another bug where when I transform back I still have werewolf parts on my body, so I look like some spaced out hybrid.
