REBOOT VERSION 2.0.0 HAD SOME SCRIPTS MISSING. Version 3.5 & above have all the missing scripts.
For some reason, the steam packager failed to include all files.

HORSES FOR FOLLOWERS +

REMINDER: Horses For Followers is now a standalone mod. Better Follower Improvements is no longer needed.

Allows a current follower to mount their horses. Follower horses have been added to stables (Whiterun, Windhelm, Solitude, Marakath and Riften).

The horse can be owned by the �current Follower, player or hireling factions�, not an individual follower. This means that even if you change followers, there is no need to buy a new horse.

Followers horses are set to bolt during combat, and then return after combat, thus greatly increasing survivability. Dead follower horses will eventually replaced at original stable to buy.

Follower's horses will follow the players unridden horse. A "Horse Call / Follow" function is currently being developed. You can test it via the Bill of Sale (Books).

Follower as Leader! Activated via followers topics and set a destination. 1) Dismount to go back to normal. The follow will come back and then dismount. 2) Draw a weapon to make the follower "temporarily" follow again. 3) Sheath weapon and the follow will resume leading.

Important: BETTER FOLLOWER IMPROVEMENTS plugin is now part of this mod's plugin. If you have an earlier version of Horses for Followers, make a partially clean save (a save with both plugins unselected in the mod switcher) before using this version. Unsubscribe from Better Follower Improvements and delete it's plugin. Then re-select Horses for Followers and load the clean save.

Will be working on: 1) Creating a mode so the follower ignores combat unless the player attacks. 2) Cause the follower to abandon combat. 3) Add more destinations and modes for the Follower As Leader.

v) Player as Follower upgrade (menu): Follower will only dismount if near dismounted player.
vi) Can teleport player's horse as well as followers.

2.0.0 - All-in-one mod. Followers far more responsive. Player can be the follower for a change -horseback only (see Followers menu topics). Bill of Sale (Book) functions expanded / improved. Ability to allow horse to function with a spawned player horse (use Bill of Sale for now). Version control system. New Follower menu topics. Fast Travel limitation has much better solution. Compatible with latest version of skyrim, fixing a lot of problems automatically.
1.4.1 - Skyrim's notorious dialogue bug can be fixed by creating a SEQ file.
1.4.0 - Adds Bill of Sale: select owning faction, sell back horses, rescue horses
1.3.4 - Fixed bug causing Companions' horse to teleport with the player if follower is waiting
- Reverted back to Current Follower ownership since this proved better than player Faction ownership.
- Proper message displayed if buying horse using the stables ledger book.

1.2.0 - Adds a ledger (book) to all stables in case all the stable owners die, or their topics become inaccessable (Edit) due to skyrims. Click ledger and buy.
- Riften now has horses for companions. However, you can only buy those horses by activating the
ledger.

Mod Compatibility
----------------------
[This may have been fixed by now] The horse call mod "Better Horses" - Only a minor problem. If you set horses to a non-vanilla price, the dialogue to buy the follower's horse will not run properly. You can either reset the price to vanilla levels (1000 gold) using the book supplied by BetterHorses or just use the Ledger book found at all stables.

Known Issues
------------
New:
A) Horse Management Utility MENU (Bill of Sale): Each time the menu is restructured, a bug prevents the menu from displaying.[Solution provided in version 4.0.0+]. A1. Go to the Stables where you bought the followers horse. A2. Speak to the ostler and select the topic "I need a new Bill of Sale". Problem fixed!

B) If you sell a player horse, the old horse may not return to its stables. [Workaround until fixed] mount old horse once more, then new horse. Cause is known, and fix will be in next update.

Solution means reinstall is not required. If Bill of Sale menu fails in future, get a new Bill of Sale from the Ostler.

[Old Issues - mostly fixed]
1) FAST TRAVEL: If a follower is dismounted and player fast travels to an "walled" city, their horse will teleport. Best result is when both horses are mounted.
2) Teleporting to Dragonreach. follower spawns at gate
3) Reminder: Riften ostler has no topics to sell a followers horse as it was removed due to an incorrect understanding of the Dialogue bug. Use Ledger until added back.
4) The Follower's horse old will not return to stables if you buy another follower's horse. [Solution] Sell old one using Bill of Sale functions.
5) The follower & their horse will now fast travel with the player. However, there are restrictions:
- Player & follower should be both be mounted for best results.
6) If, for some reason, you have more than one followers horse, all horses will teleport with you. [Solution] Sell one of the other horses via the Bill of Sale.
7) Fast travel to enclosed citys such as Whiterun. Problem resolved (see 1).

Q&A:

Q1: My vanilla follower will not ride the horse I just bought for them. Why not?

A1: Use the Bill of Sale to select another owning faction. Current Follower Faction is the most reliable but blocks player activation.

A2: This mod only aliases only references vanilla NPCs. If you have follower mod, see below.

A3: Another mod could be conflicting with this one. If so, try switching the load order so this mod loads later.

Q2: (updated) My follower is from another mod, will he/she be able to ride these horses?

A1: If following Bethesda model and not a hireling, the follower needs AI Packages with riding enabled that includes Current Follower Faction == 1, and Global follower count >= 1. , They should be dynamically added/removed via script to/from the Current Followers Faction. No need to give a rank. Also increase/decrease global follower count and set teammate as true/false. Best results if player horse is vanilla (so stables should work), or special mod horse from a esm.

Q3: The Ostler at Windhelm is dead, and the backup ostler will only sell the player horse. What�s wrong?

A: This should be fixed by the SEQ file, but still need to test extensively. As a workaround, activate the Ledger provided at the stables. Not to be confused with the forgery ledger :) [memo] Can try Allow Reserved.
