Exactly the look I've been looking for! Still working for RL 3.5 as well.

will this work with RL 3.5?

EDIT: It seems to work. Your configuration is awesome. I´ll use it forever. Just changed a couple of small things to suit my tastes - brighter snow, slightly darker dungeons

    Thank you for sharing!

First time I have commented on a mod and I thought it was worth it with this one!
The wonderful bleakness your mod creates feels exactly what Skyrim should feel like to me.
None of these "tropical" island feelings with warmth that most mods seem to provide.
    It's bleak, harsh and muted.
    Love it!
The only thing I would really like to tweak is the dungeon lighting is a little high for my taste (I like it bleak and creepy) but other than that, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making Skyrim look great!

    @Finduilas
Maybe you want to try my snow textures?

If you do, just make sure you do not load HQ Snow.
My textures are not bright on my game, using my config.

I cannot tone down the sun-reflection on the ground anymore, it will make the game way too dull...

Hi, thank you so much for this config! I like the atmosphere with it, though I needed to brighten the dungeons up a little. That's for my personal taste because I really hate using torches. You did a really good job on all the other settings and I'll keep an eye on your work.

Only one question I do have. I'm using Snow HQ Texture and at midday when the weather is clear, the snow's still bright as hell. The list on Skyrim launcher looks like this (hope this is the correct loading order otherwise pls tell me):

    RL Patcher
    RL
    HQ Snow
    Alternate Sun Glare
    etc.

When it's cloudy, everything looks fine! Perhaps blinding snow on clear weather is just a "normal" thing? Then I apologize.

Thank you again! Keep up the good work.

Thanks for this. I've been spending quite a few hours trying many of the RL configs others have posted, and some I've come across are perfect - except for being outside at night - where your configuration, although dark at night like many of the others, doesn't drown out the Candlelight spell or torches to a ground cover splat of light.

At least with this configuration file, torches and light spells actually illuminate the region around the character, allowing me to see while moving at night with a light source.

    FP!
