I just wanted to let people know that if all of a sudden fences don't have a trading option anymore, or if you're using mods that enable new traders, such as portable blessings, priest vendors, miners and farmers sell produce etc, and they don't show a trade option like they should, this here mod is responsible for it. I don't have anything against the mod author, I've actually really enjoyed this mod for quite some time, but I wanted to let people know as to save them a headache of finding out why those issues happen. And there is an alternative mod linked below in the comments that I believe doesn't have those issues.
This mod has been on my game since 2015, but only now I was able to look into it when remembering that a few merchants on Riften weren't being affected, and what I found is that the mod also change the skin tone of a few NPCs, I don't think this was meant to be part of the .ESP and wanted to give a heads up, but upon reading this comment, I turned it into a reply instead, and thank you for your heads up instead!
I don't have the 'Tonilia bug' but I will remember your words. Also I am not criticizing this mod nor its author, and I will remain using it because it has been working since 2015 and I haven't ran into a situation where the bugs show up, I am just exchanging information like the fellow user aforementioned
Actually, I got curious about the 'Tonilia bug' and just spared a couple of minutes redoing the mod (made a condition rather than deleting) and noticed a greeting other than "welcome to the thieves guild..." - is this the so called bug?
Don't take me wrong though - I am grateful for this mod, as I am learning as I go that the hardest part is, most of the times, finding what to change, rather than figuring how to change, so way to go man, you were a pioneer who opened path for others
I have just published a mod called Less Annoying Merchants that does essentially the same thing as this mod, but using a different method. It will not cause the sorts of incompatibilities that have been mentioned here, like the fence/Tonilia bug.

Thank you so much! I hope yours does work because I can't believe that I just had to uninstall this because of the Tonilia/fence bug. Any bug/glitch regarding guild quests makes me anxious as hell. Luckily I found the answer to the Tonilia bug pretty quickly.
I don't know why this isn't more well known. I get driven to use the console just to avoid talking to those damn merchants. You are a savior, thank you. Endorsed for awesomeness, and the hilarious description.
I havent played as a thief yet and am just setting up my load order, but i came across a dirty edit on Tonilla in TES5Edit. So without having tested it myself, i would suggest to clean it, it's a good idea anyway and maybe it'll solve the Tonilla problem. Also you can 'take a look' and see which dialogue topics you want to keep in TES5Edit (the one the fences use comes to mind) and delete it's entry from this plugin. After that endorse TES5Edit if you havent already :p Just some ideas that might work :-)

A simple mod that's never be missing from any load order.
ENDORSED!!
I hate those half information comments, which help nobody; are only kids gaming these days?
