   Why do they always screw two-handed weapons in these games? DA scewed them over in a big way. I guess they think anyone who likes big weapons is a churlish brute...

    It doesn't? At 100 skill and Rank 5 of the relevent perks, a Daedric Sword does 42 Damage and a Daedric Battleaxe does 75. Since you can Dual Wield Swords which can swing more than twice as fast as a Battleaxe, it results in far higher DPS.
