All this mod does is gives Tolfdir Arch Mage robes. Literally. People still call me Arch Mage and I still get to take anything from Arch Mage's quarters without it being considered stealing. Seriously dude
Last Dragonborn's title as Archmage is mostly ornamental anyway. It is possible to complete College's questline without actually do any magic (in essence, use Thu'um to pass Faralda's test, Use Spellbreaker to pass ward test, stealth archer for dungeon).
I've alwas just pretended in my headcanon that the college does that for the simple reason that they want to use the Dragonborn politically for their own reputation. But I think I would love to make Tolfdir archmage next time. I always walk to Tolfdir when I have questions anyway. "Hey, Tolfdir, where is...?" He is my College of Winterhold mom.

Glad I found this mod, basically this is all I want even for a magic playthru, I had immersive winterhold just for the reason to pass mage hood back to tolfdir . But now I hopefully can still do that with this mod even if ma not active anymore ...

That is exactly the only question I had when I saw this mod and got exited. I'm also not a big fan of being the guild-master of EVERYTHING. I wish Bethesda designed this game so we can specialize and chose only one guild to lead, and be chief lieutenant in the rest of the guilds. Whats the point of making Tolfdier archmage, if all the other mages call you archmage? IDK I'm still going to give this a shot and try not to run in with the other mages))
I was gonna suggest that instead of Tolfdir, Mirabelle should be Archmage, since she's the second most powerful mage, or at least, second in administrative role at the college, but yeah, since the mod probably ain't supported anymore, what's the point?
