Wow, these are almost too nice! I need to do a bit more testing, but I posted a few images of the signpost just outside Whiterun, and I think these look gorgeous in this location in my game! Well done! And Endorsed!
PS. Probably obvious, but if anyone has "Roadsigns Redone", it replaces road sign meshes (and related UV texture mapping) - so you have to disable/uninstall that to use this new mod.
I thought I would give you a heads up on that mod, especially for less experienced or technical users that might not make the connection. The other mod is great too, but yours is nicer and the signs for towns versus cities match better, which is a good thing I think. I saw you updated the mod with a more weathered option. Haha, those are probably more immersive... but I can't decide yet what I will use. I uploaded 2 more images of them, titled them "Weathered option" and titled the first 2 I uploaded "Clean option", just to give the comparison. For anyone that checks them, I am using Rudy ENB in my game. Thanks again for your efforts, and also... I just gave you a Kudos point, because while I am using the English version, I think it is fantastic that you have downloads with the alternate languages.
Thank you for those kind words, I'm glad you like it! And thank you also for the pictures, they should help people to better choose their versions! And me too, I don't know which version to choose between the two :D
Hi, I went to upgrade to 1.3, and was excited to see the changes for Cutting Room Floor and Point The Way signs. But I am having issues with them. I am getting big red diamond shapes with the white exclamation point in them, which normally means missing meshes... but they are there. So maybe those red diamonds mean invalid meshes? Maybe because the 1.3 download here on the LE mod page says it is for SE? I am not sure what SE uses, but the meshes for Arthmoors signs in 1.3 are using BSTriShape nodes instead of NITriShapes that are at least normally used in LE?? If I did something wrong, I apologize for missing it.
Hello, again! It dawned on me that maybe the new signs for Arthmoor's mods might not really need the meshes your mod supplied... at least for LE, especially because you don't supply meshes for vanilla signs. So I removed the meshes from your mod and gave it a test outside Windhelm, and it seems to work fine with Arthmoor's original meshes - again this is on LE. I will do more testing in other locations.
I added before and after images to your image page... one showing before (v1.1) and one after (v1.3), showing the signs outside Windhelm from this latest test. That sign post includes one sign from CRF and one sign from PTW.
Hello, sorry for the late reply! Thanks for the kind words, your images and your tests. It's quite possible that I got the wrong meshes for the patches... That's my kind of thing! It will be corrected in the next update coming soon! :D
Seeing these really spurs me on to learn navmeshing. I need to master it in order to release an update for one of my mods (which is heavily dialogue-oriented), but I sincerely hope to be able to create a few custom village mods one day. If I was more certain of my chances of success in that regard, I would absolutely be tempted to ask you to make signs for them. I really love the style of your work.
Thanks so much for this lovely work and that you also offer different translations!! I hope of some beautiful inn signs by you, also translated!! KUDO!!
I noticed on your pics that you have Aurora painted in white. Do you think you could make this as an option for all the other signs? Dark brown on light brown doesn't pop out. I think the names and your drawings in white would be more contrasted and more easy to appreciate from a distance. What do you think?
Hi, no I'm not going to completely redo the mod as if everything had been painted, even though it has been suggested to me before. It will take me too much time to redo all the textures for all the languages, and I like the engraved version :)
