Is there a quest that leads to this dungeon, or is it a possible target for Radiant quests? Or do I just have to reference the location information here and go find it?

Ornhamir was one of the very first mod dungeons I downloaded when I returned to Skyrim back in 2015 yet it took me a good while to try it out. I've started to go through all the dungeon/quest mods I've downloaded over the years and Ornhamir was the first one up. As I started it though, I began to recognise a few areas, so I must've played it at least once before, but memory tells me this was my first visit, so lets say it was...

My idea here was to play this dungeon with three different characters, so I did just that. They all came as newly made characters from different inn's in Skyrim and once I reached the entrance of Ornhamir, two of the characters were level 4 and one level 3. The 4-level chars were a tiefling trickster/rogue with some knowledge in spellcasting (mostly Flames and a Summon Skeevers spell) and a Breton fighter using axe and shield. The 3-level character was an Argonian mage with beginner's knowledge in some Destruction spells (Flames and Shock). They all prevailed and survived this dungeon even at these low levels, but that doesn't mean the crypt was too easy. Infact, I found it was good-balanced and it did force me to use independent tactics depending on the characters which I absolutely love. It means I can get more into the role and behave in such manner that would be suitable for the character (yes, I roleplay this game...heavily).

It's a lovely dungeon I'd say, built with a good eye for level design and atmosphere. I too love darker dungeons and depending on what ENB I'm using for gameplay, some lairs can indeed get very dark. This one had a great balance and the very first chamber set a nice immersive touch to Ornhamir that I felt throughout the whole dungeon crawl. The whole underground structure felt believable and there were some twists - the intruders - that gave the place more life than just any ordinary dungeon. I don't mind casual lair looting with some monsters and undead, but it's always a nice bonus when the creator's love for his work shines through.

End boss was cool too. Strong enough to make an impact if being careless, but still defeatable, although it depends on your equipment in your backpack of course. I had some scrolls, new spells and a few magic items with me before I ventured into this place, and some of them made a difference when the situation got dire. That's also something I love, when the dungeon intrigues you to actually use those potions and scrolls you find instead of just stashing them all up for later.

I played it three times with three different approaches/characters/equipment and weapons. I only found one bug - I assume - and that was when I played with the tiefling rogue. When she approached the location of the intruders, they weren't there. I don't know if they never got triggered, because of her sneaking skills (I don't know how it works in the CK), but she could reach what was needed to get in the room with the intruders without any opponents showing up. It worked with the other two characters though, so maybe it was her being a tiefling that made it all a bit wonky since it's an added mod race.

Regardless of this incident, everything worked flawlessly and I truly enjoyed my stay inside Ornhamir. The atmosphere and level design was wonderful. Thank you!

I downloaded this dungeon over a year ago, and for whatever reason hadn't gotten around to actually playing it until now. It's just quietly sat there in my game, waiting for me. Huge mistake! This is a great dungeon, especially for low-level characters, and I should have played it long before now! Endorsed.

The only negative I have is that the navmesh isn't comopanion-friendly. I got Lydia to enter and mostly follow me through, but she had some problems. To be fair, this mod was created before Bethesda fixed the infamous Navmesh Bug. Lazyskeever, this is an excellent dungeon, so please consider going back to revisit your navmesh now that Bethesda fixed that nasty bug!

On the positive side: Loot and monsters are well-balanced. The lighting design is superb. Room layouts are interesting and varied. There's one room that I couldn't figure out how to enter for nearly half an hour, and that felt really sweet when I finally found the puzzle solution.

As someone else posted -- this is not a big, apocalyptic quest mod, just a nice evening's dungeon crawl. It does what it set out to do, very well, and I would encourage others to give this mod a try if you haven't yet. I'll be looking for other mods by this author.

I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'm also glad you cared to find the secret! Was it the locked portucullis?

I have been honing my dungeon designing skills without releasing anything during the last 2 years since I made this as my first dungeon. I have a fairly big dungeon project in the works right now together with viltuska (Skyrim Sewers) and hope to recruit even more talent down the line for it.

Does this dungeon respawn? In other words can I come back, defeat the exact same bad guys and open the same treasure chests for random loot?

Beautiful. I finished the dungeon today. Nothing big or fancy, it just adds a good place to explore. My level 30 character had an easy time in there, even with the boss, but for all who stumble across this mod, I highly recommend you give it a try. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work!

    Cheers and beers!

Nice mod, fits very well into the game. You should know has a worldspace conflict with the riverhelm mod. nothing too bad, just the meshes are merged.

I liked this mod a lot! Very immersive, plays well on the mood. Thanks for your work!

Oh, and only downside (if any): my companion couldn't enter the dungeon. In hindsight, it was probably a good thing, since being alone in the dark plays nicely with the dark/scary theme.

Very decent dungeon. Reward vs. Risk were well balanced. Lydia must have smelled the trolls as she would not enter. I crashes a couple of time going back through the entrance multiple time to entice Lydia, but the crashes may have been my issue and not the mod's.

The location seems to be very popular as Ornhamir is right above another mod I happen to choose for this run through (AltraBanva). Although I did not seem to have a conflict issue, I initially missed the stairs to Ornhamir as they were on top of the other tomb.

Loved the dark atmosphere. I normally play with "realistic lighting" which makes tombs very dark, however, I'm not on this run through as the house mod I choose was too dark with RL. I like going through tombs needing alternative lighting to see with and your's was quite dark.

Enjoyed the trolls. Quite the surprise. As was the surprise after pulling the lever and returning.

I did this at 8th level and it didn't seem too tough. Decent beginner's dungeon.

Please do away with the inaccessible area. A lot of us "explorers" hate the idea that we might be missing something. When we see unexplored rooms, we waste a lot of time trying to figure out how to access it.....eventually resorting to the console only to find out there IS now way to access it. Very frustrating.

    Very enjoyable mod...>Endorsed!!
