For people complaining about CTDs, no wonder it crashes a lot, have you seen all those DUPLICATES in the mod? The file is approx 923kb while it should be around 154kb. It won't entirely stop the crashes but it will help a lot, I could upload a better and more stable version of this mod if kitaring let me but that's if he let me.
So this is the mod eating up all my memory blocks. Please try to get the author to let you post a clean version. If the author won't give you permission, is it still possible for you to send me a cleaned version, if you have made it for your own build? I am unsure what the rules are about this.
Over on SSE someone did the work and fixed the issues: Adventurers and Travelers - Revised Edition. They even explained what exactly they did. We just need someone to port it over or copy the fixes.
And by the looks of it the duplicates are so that the mod can put multiple versions of the individual NPC "classes" in the game.
Literally the only thing I want from this is NPCs that show up in dungeons. Every other mod I tried adds NPCs everywhere EXCEPT inside dungeons, and that is the part that would help the most with immersion.
I got nude bug all my travellers, are nude! Why! I have "speed" "confidence" and "scale" disable, but they still nude! Why! I have Cloaks of Skyrim, CBBE body, and a re-texture of males. But that's it, which mod it's the who's nude my travellers? Sorry for my bad english. :c
They all work together just fine with One Exception.
You'll have to choose between either (Adventurers and Travelers) or (Populated Cities Towns Villages Reborn) You cannot have those two together, because of the way Adventurers and Travelers chooses to spawn the NPCs.
it doesn't spawn them all over skyrim, it treats the cities as thier home base, and spawns them all from there. but it doesn't do it to cities you haven't entered before. So if you haven't entered a city, there wont be travelers leaving it because they dont yet exist. They all come into existence the moment you enter a city and from there they leave and embark on thier adventure.
This couldn't have been implemented in a worst to be less compatible with populated town. Because Adventures and travelers doesn't spawn a few of them at a time from the moment you enter a city. No, its spawn like 80 of them at once.
I know what mod they are from because I've clicked on them and saw it on the console. and i was able to do this because the game doesn't crash while having all of those plus those two together, so long as I have all the AI turned off with the console command TAI. this also means that that issue isn't related to my rig, nor my graphics settings, but the game engine itself that isnt meant to handle that many AI being processed at once.

I don't know what's going on, but this mod randomly started to CTD. I disabled it and the game worked fine. I uninstalled and the game worked fine. I reinstalled and the game crashed. It's this mod causing the CTD, but I don't get it! It never happened before, and this mod is too good to not have!!
It is weird the same thing happened for me. I had this mod for over a year and then I updated a few mods and it no longer works...even if I revert the mods to their previous stages. I loved this mod , and it would be even more awesome now that I discovered Loot and Degredation so the robbers would actually loot those they kill.
The mod works perfectly fine for me since this mod is created. Re check your load order and make sure this mod is on top of load order to prevent other mod's conflict Also always create a bashed patch everytime you add new mod Google if you don't know
Well, there is duplicates in this mod I guess, but they shouldn't cause crashes. I run this mod with 255 mods and I don't get any direct ctds from it it seems. I'm going to try and clean the duplicates to see if it free's up some SKSE memory and processing. I also cut the npcs numbers in half. One, I just like my skyrim feeling sparse in certain areas, as this is a rough, frontiers based land. However, it will also reduce the amount of scripts it needs to run since it will have less npcs to spawn and keep track of.
Also, ensure you use a merge patch through tes5edit, then delete the leveled player and item list in the merge patch, then save it. Now, open wyre bash and make a bash patch only. It will create the proper leveled lists you removed from the merge patch, and it will do it in a more stable way. In your load order put the merge patch at the end of your load order and then the bashed patch after it (If you have any proc patchers like dyndolod or asis they go after the merge and batch patch). Without this, this mod will probably cause ctds as npcs will try and spawn with items that are mislabeled, overwritten, or not using the proper bash tags. On spawning and not being able to find the right reference, it will crash.
Sorry, I know this comment is 1000 years old, but wtf is all this merge - bash - merge - bash ??? Tes5edit patch and merge plugin script are all you need... and take a maximum of 2 steps. >.>
I know these comments are old but if anyone happens to read them do not take what subtle strike says too seriously. Ive read their comments on this thread and they really seem to have no idea what they are talking about
NPCs will visit towns and dungeons. They will find their next destination automatically and dynamically by Keyword and Reftype. Pick it at random from all available location in game, including Solstheim and other additional Locations if you have the DLCs or another additional location Mods.
Above is what makes this mod the best "Populated" mod for skyrim. Travellers from other mods of this type can only walk between cities of the vanila game, which lacks immersion.
