i was searching aruond for an armor overhaul mod to make light armor as viable as heavy armor, but it seems this makes heavy armor even MORE op. 5 enemies = 100% reflect? it turns you quite literally into an unstoppable force, is this correct? that's just what im reading, if im wrong, feel free to explain how it actually works, but it seems like you ultra buffed heavy armor and didn't help little ol' light armor at all.
Thanks for the mod. It was sorely needed Could you increase the rate at which armor skills level? Or maybe change blocking to increase armor skills too? I always go broke on training to get it to the same level as other skills, and I haven't found a mod that changes it :/
thanks a ton for this mod. one of my favourites. combined with scaling magicka, it makes skyrim the way it ought to have been out of the box! definitely top 10 on my list!
I'll try that uncapper, but the thing is they've been showing up all over - Armorer requires like, 105 skill for level 5 (I think). I DO have about a billion mods installed, so I can't tell what's done what, really. Thanks for the info.
There is Elys Uncapper if you want skills above 100 but there are no perks in this mod that require more than 100 in a single skill. I don't know where did you get that info.
Am I missing something, or is there a mod out there that lets you increase your skills past 100? Because there's quite a few perks here that require more than 100 skill points to activate... :/
fArmorRatingPCMax is applied dynamically and you can change it even mid game with "SetGS fArmorRatingPCMax". It cannot cause any problems all it does is multiplies base armor rating with 1+(fArmorRatingPCMax -1)*(armor_skill/100) considering that you don't put fArmorRatingPCMax to be less than 1 . Game settings can be changed at any time and can never cause permanent damage. Try to set that variable to 1 and you'll see that your skill does not affect armor rating anymore, try it in game with SetGS. Maybe you think it makes problem because game settings are active for the whole gaming session once changed, only exiting the game will reset them.
Be careful with that armor scaling variable, it's one of those where you can't go back and change it's value again. It especially causes problems with armor that gives you +light armor/heavy armor bonuses.
