It breaks the text strings that display the numbers, and the numbers themselves sort of still work, but are buggy, and you can no longer see the warmth and coverage rating an item has in the inventory. Would be nice to have a compatability patch. Also is technically incompatible with the Quick Loot mod, though only in the capacity that the icons don't display.
The mod is perfectly functional and honestly quite beautiful other than that, though!
sounds like a leftover from se since there SkyUI seems to be on 5.2, for LE its 5.1... Maybe you could try to switch the version check in skyuis mcm off? As a temporary fix
That author made a patch for this mod, however due to recent updates it might be obsolete right now. I do think it'll be better if I implement the compatibility myself but I'm not sure how it works.

The keywords only need the name. As for SAS I believe it will not be compatible as both mods are modifying the same files. A patch is possible but is very complicated and time consuming.
I'll look into ways to improve making patches, perhaps there is a way to copy and paste. The hardest part is dealing with compiling the scripts within the swf files.
It works like a charm (tested with a rapier mod), but the new category only shows in the inventory, not in the container/barter menus. I get that the barter menu might be more subject for conflicts, but the container menu ? Actually I'm surprised it's not the same menu…
Yeah I just found out these are not using the same script. I'm modding these right now, parts of it I can just copy and paste but other parts not so much.
Maybe… While editing the mod, may I ask you to add the shotel ? If we except the pickaxes (though I may have found a way thanks to Dragonborn's keyword), the shotels are the only weapons I can't really fit in any other categories. They are curved swords that deals more damage to a parrying enemy but less to a non-parrying one. A true anti-defense weapon. EDIT : Actually, I might simply list you every types of weapons I have in mods and that could enjoy a new category , and you do whatever you want with these. I would have loved to to it myself, but I have no idea how to edit swf files…
Would Need one : Shotel, Trident, Short Hammer, Long Mace, [Fighting] Pickaxe, One-Hand Crossbow (treated as magical staves, so can't get the vanilla crossbow category). May be good : Giant Sword, Shortsword, Double Axe, Club, Battle Bow (with front blades for bash damages).

You can change if you want, however you can also just create a new WeapTypeKatana and add it together on top your current weapon keywords and SkyUI will detect it and display as such.
Another example is, you can add a WeapTypeKatana onto lets say a battleaxe without removing any of the original keywords, SkyUI will now display that battleaxe as Katana even though it's still fully functional as a battleaxe with all the existing keywords intact.
