It's a retexture so you can use it on SSE anyway. I ported the Solitude Dome mod if you look forit; the frescos one had permission issues so I cannot publish it, but one could port it for personal use.
It'd look better if you could find 1 big painting to cover the whole dome. And viking themed frescos would look better than this... Maybe some portaits of famous, historic Skyrim heroes and Kings...
Option 3 has one big painting. The horselord paintings are somewhat viking in theme, though probably more celtic. Options for both dome and frescoes. I'd love to do some skyrim screenarchery for an optional, but that will take some time before I can get just the right scenes. I'd love it if you want to link me to some appropriate artwork, expeciall viking themed or skyrim screenshots with permissions. They need to be at least 512 by 512, 1024 is better. The wraparound painting was possible because it's so wide and I could find a giant file to download and cut into four parts. That plus permissions are the tricky parts.

Thanks, I checked them out and they didn't strike my fancy. Color palette, blurriness, availability of good digital copies, and some aesthetic considerations: action poses too fantasy rather than fine art, or viking cultural references too obvious. I know that some of my choices also have some of those problems, but that's subjectivity for you.
If you badly want some particular image in your game, let me know if you want a tutorial for how to do it yourself. It's pretty simple and fast.

Dunno if it will be helpful, merely to add some nordic-themed art to your collection: Otto Sinding, Frank Dicksee, Wilhelm Cordes, Christian Krogh, Knud Bergslien, Mårten Winge - all long dead. Dunno if any art from nasjonalmuseet.no is free for all, but seeing that lots of artists there also have died long ago, should be also allowed?
