    Hello,

I'm coming back to Skryim after a loooong braek and I've switched to Skyrim Special Edition.

I also realized that my beloved WhiteView Manor isn't compatible with the SE (game crash at launch)
Does anybody know of a fix for this?Maybe just to enjoy the manor itself? Or at least load it to get all my gear out?

    All best!

Just wanted to say thanks for a quality player home, it took me a long time to save up for this even though I downloaded it ages ago. Nicely thought out features, backstory and layout, and plenty of individual named storage for those that want to use it. Have to say 30,000 seemed a little steep, but perhaps i've been ruined by all the 'bells and whistles' type house mods available on nexus! I haven't delved too deeply into the house, but from the journal it seemed like there might be another quest attached? Or at least the possibility for one.

Just uploaded version 1.4. There are some important changes I want to share with you. There are some fixes for Elric the farmhand's behavior, but the big change is that I've disabled the spouse compatibility in this version, for now

If you've been following the issue, my mod was one of the first to offer spouse options (In fact, I don't know of any others, but there might have been). The problem, though, was that even though you could move your spouse back and forth between my house and the vanilla houses, there would be no way for another mod to clear my spouse AI package, so the "holy grail" of universal compatibility remained elusive. I worked really hard, particularly with theconqueror148, to come up with a solution (we had a marathon scripting session, which was amusing, because he's a very good scripter and I'm just a moderately clever, but totally scripting-illiterate noob.)

Meanwhile, Emma and Amgepo have come up with a really elegant solution in their Spouses Can Live Anywhere mod. Their method is closer to the Holy Grail than ours was, because their mod works in any custom house EXCEPT those that used methods similar to mine. So, I've decided to disable my spouse compatibility in this version, since it's important to me that my house remain just a choice among many - most house enthusiasts load more than one house. Emma and Amgepo's mod is worth being compatible with, in my opinion - it's a really smart solution, and they'll be adding options to move followers and housecarls in the future. If I come up with a method that allows my mod to be self sufficient while still being compatible with theirs, I will turn this feature back on.

Now, for those that may have moved your spouse into Whiteview Manor already in an earlier version of this mod and may have an interest in using Spouses Can Live Anywhere, it''s important that you do the following:

    1) Download Whiteview Manor 1.4: I fixed an issue that could possibly prevent moving back to vanilla houses in some cases.
    2) Move your spouse to a vanilla house
    3) Download and install Spouses Can Live Anywhere.
    4) You can move back to Whiteview Manor with their mod, BUT if your spouse was living in Whiteview Manor when you activate their mod, their mod may not be able to get the spouse to move elsewhere.

(For those interested, basically both my method and theirs clear a vanilla house and add a new AI package, but where mine was restricted to just my house, they decided to make an AI that would run a sandbox package at the location of a marker that can get moved around by a spell. I wasn't even remotely thinking in that direction, so super-kudos to them!)

I will still keep an eye on your feedback in case there are any bugs to be squashed, but I will probably be devoting my efforts to my next project: Festivals of Skyrim (won't be anytime soon!)

Raptor, unfortunately the game sometimes doesn't load custom scripts properly - other mods have encountered this problem. I suspect that you probably downloaded a new version of the mod while you were in the middle of the quest - that's the only way I was able to duplicate the error. Either way, the only way I know of to fix this is to create a clean save: make a save with the mod uninstalled and then reinstall it. That will mean you have to start the quest again, but it should run smoothly after that.
