We had to do something since Lucy was so intrigued by being part of a specific group of adventurers in one of my travel sets...
We had Lucy placed in Four Shields Inn in Dragonbridge, since it made a lot of sense with her being a new graduate from the Bard's College. This was a wish of mine when Tanja was about to place her in the worldspace. I therefor had to "console command" her to my group because of this, since Lucy had specific wishes of belonging to the team with Inigo and the rest. This dropped her into the grassy slope next to my adventurers and made for an excellent start for some writing as a short introduction...
I use my own version of Lucy as PC, because I like the original too...
Wonderful idea Rick mate, Tanja, such an enjoyable set, a lovely gift for the adorable Lucy
This was worth it all and it was a lot of fun too, especially since it involved a collaboration between two screenarchers. I've always liked that idea - a bit of teamwork so to speak - all for the good atmosphere and creativity, either it's being images shown together, writers entwining their stories/characters or works like this one with an exclusive follower as the result...
Lots of fun and love included...
however, this version is much better, and lends itself to become a follower. Given the impressive number of junk characters that are published, and mysteriously even receive recognition I would say that Lucy can make a good impression.
You're correct - the new version is a lot more sweet and that you'll have to thank Tanja for. I did the first version and I like a few flaws on my characters hence the "crooked " nose in my version. Tanja did however made her more sweet and pretty, so the eyes you'll have to ask her about...
I'd love to make followers, but I can't. Tanja can however and that's why we decided to make Lucy a follower and not only images. I have her in my game since this was a wish from Lucy when she looked at one of my travel sets. We decided not to release her as a follower for the community though - either one of us have the time to answer questions if "Lucy" would start to act funny.
If I ever get the hang (Tanja has given me a 63 pages manual) of making followers, I will start distribute them. This site could use a few more "realistic" characters and I'm also quite familiar with giving them full backgrounds. It'll have to wait though, but perhaps some day...
Two versions of our Lucy, although Tanja did "prettyfied" my character. I'm so used with giving the characters a few flaws since I kind of like it, but Tanja sure "corrected" them all with a delicate touch...
Both Tanja and you did a wonderful job creating your own versions.
It was such a fun "teamwork", especially since we both had the exact same idea when Lucy expressed her wishes. Little did she know this was going to happen, so the surprise effect was worth it all alone...
What... what was I saying? Ok, ok, calm down, Lucy, c'mon!
Rick, Tanja... thank you from the bottom of my heart for this stunning dedication!
You are such wonderful and lovely people, I'm so happy to have met you, my dear friends!
Regarding the apperence, I must say that the second version (the Lucy who met the group) looks almost like me!!! Only the hair are more curly, but it doesn't matter Besides the "little Lucy", the entire set is marvelous, Rick!
I think I will keep on smiling for all the week
Thank you so much again
You're most welcome, Lucy dear! This was so much fun to do and when Tanja sent me a message nearly at the same time as I was about to start create something, we knew this was a task for us both!
A good thing then, Tanja had to adjust a few things from my version. Her version is more beautiful, but I wanted to show my version as well. You're quite the lovely looking girl too, if Tanja came close to your real appearance...
There's a lack of great curly hairs, that much I can tell you. We even had troubles finding the hair from my version for Tanjas version, so she had to pick another hairstyle...
Let yourself smile for as long as you want and I'll do my best to keep you alive in my game!
Well, if this Lucy has my fighting skills, I don't know how long she will endure in your game
But she can always hit the enemies with the lute, righ?
I kind of like making characters - as you know - so "my Lucy" will also have a place in my world. I'm going to head straight to the Bard's college with that one...
The follower version had to try a lot of things during this tombraiding. I gave her an axe, then a sword, then a staff, then a bow...
It seems she prefers to wield her sword while protecting herself with the staff or using some spells, so I think she has it all figured out...
with this reaction you filled my heart with happyness, dear Lucy
and Rick did such a great job on this set and the story... awwww wonderful
If you are wondering what weapon she could use, then I reveal you a thing: some years ago, visiting Gradara (a medieval village here in Italy) I bought a dagger in a shop that sells reproductions of weapons for collectors. That dagger had a name too They called it "Siegfried's dagger" because the hilt has the shape of a dragon. I don't know if there is a dagger mod like this
Edit: @Tanja: exacly! That was my reaction I'm too predictable, uh?
This was such an enjoyable teamwork and I'm already looking forward to our next idea!
I went into the unknown with these shots too, since this is a very old dungeon mod and I had never been down there. Luckily for me, it was a great place filled with lots of undead creatures so Lucy certainly had to be prepared for a few fights. Got her to change equipment so many times too, outfits too, but that's what I like with "fresh" characters. You can shape them into what you want. Lucy did very good in that tomb, but sadly the grumpy elf Agarwaenor didn't survive. Quite the irony...
Thank you so much for all the help!
@Tanja Thank you sooooo much, hon!
I think both versions of Lucy look great,.. The first seems younge rand perhaps more fitting in the story where I get the idea this is a girl in her early twenty's , wich fits the look very well.
Rick's version seems more mature late twenty's early thirty-ish . I like that creation also a lot,..
Cool armor also,.. did not know that one,..
It was a great cooperation between you two. It worked out well,.. compliments to you both,..
When Lucy expressed her wishes for joining Niwaine, Inigo, Aurora and Agarwaenor in the second travel set, I felt this was something I wanted to do. Tanja surprised me with the very same idea and so the collaboration was started...
I didn't have that much to go on when I made my version of Lucy - and Tanja simply had my images. So when Lucy says Tanja's version is rather similar to her real appearance, that's just awesome! Nice to hear you say you like both our versions though...
There are so many armors and outfits out there, I sometimes wonder if I ever get to use any of them...
