I like, how it is written all as a inner monolog from the sight of Larkspur....he is so sensual in observing Saga and so deep in his bounds to her.
Such paintings belongs to a good story and are somtimes more important than happenings. In this way, you wrote very much for understanding the inner of this trio and the dog
You were today the Bob Ross of the words
Not to forget to mention the high quality of your pictures which are illustrating the story so well....great work in this way too
Thank you for your interesting observations, too. I agree with you - the still moments, or paintings as you call them, are very important when it comes to writing. I enjoy writing them very much so I'm super happy you found them bearable
And to be compared to Bob Ross - d'awww I consider him one of the sweetest people that have ever lived and often watch the old episodes of his The Joy of Painting, so I'm really flattered.
Thank you for your comment!
Shows of your talent nicely as not only did you open up with that great viewpoint on an artist who paints but neatly tied the theme together later on in the story. Even much further down when you say things like "was a display of browns and oranges; a combination of blurred splashes and random spots any surrealist would gladly put their pallets." Enjoyed that aspect of the story. I also think I would prefer to paint then be painted - liked that line.
So they are all back together but things are not the same. Tis true though - people, life, even animals (although I am thankful dogs are pretty consistent) do change. Even Larkspur is changing to some degree it sounds like. Lately he has been forced to confront a variety of uncomfortable truths - towards himself and others. His previous attitude towards life seems to be getting more serious than he would like.
He is a smart one though and think he sees a bit deeper than the dog and blissful Alerik ... and Esbern doesn't really know her. But eventually someone breaks the game (that would have been me - I avoid people, parties, and social stuff partly because I hate those empty silences that make me feel so awkward and uncomfortable).
I am not sure at all and perhaps it was me hoping and reading into things ... but near the end he seemed to see something in her that was not her ... I don't know if that was meant to imply he senses something about her that is not her, as in the Nightmother, even if he doesn't know what it is. As if he is sensing she is in some way possessed or under anther's control without knowing it. But who knows ... perhaps we shall see later.
You've made some really great points about Larkspur and I'm thankful for that. I really wanted some feedback on him, since I had to tell the story mostly through his eyes this time around: Alerik's point of view wouldn't feel... organic, so to speak, since he doesn't know Saga that well, and Saga herself, due to her current instability (and yes, possession of a sort), would be too difficult to handle. Also, you are right about him sensing that something is off, although I might have been a little bit too cryptic about it. When they reconcile he doesn't really look at her, feels that there is still a distance between them - and is happy that Alerik didn't see Saga's outburst (I also tried to change her way of speaking, but I still need to work on that).
Thank you for your comment!
It's a bit to dark for me, but i like your style very much.
Thank you for your comment, dear!
I still don't fully understand how these two are connected which each other... but I think they don't understand by theirselves. I am excited which way it will continue...
If by these two you mean Larkspur and Saga, then their relationship is a tad complicated, indeed!
I'm really glad you enjoyed the theme of this story - I wanted to experiment a little, maybe attempt to transfer one medium onto another. I think colours and words are a bit similar in a way we handle them.
Thanks again!
What a superior image series with fantastic text.
The first picture under the main picture is so awesome, almost like a painting
Oh, and that is a painting
