Sorry for late comments - my internet service went down a few hours after I posted this - we had a winter storm on Friday and while I had power it took down my internet cables. Came to the office to get caught up on a few things - so will respond to comments here once my service is back or during my work breaks tomorrow (no idea when service will be back).

Until then thanks for the many nice words - I read them at the office today but focused my own comments on other peoples work for the moment and catching up on messages.

Beautiful set Jon, like the vibe of the rainy lake and how you're catching Wolfgars expressions. Those poor rats though, they were kinda cute

Thanks! Nice to see you back in Skyrim for a bit as well

Love rainy days so was happy this set came out half-way decent since rain shots can be hard. The rats are a great touch to the city of Riften even if Wolfgar tends to see them as mobile snacks

Maybe I'll stay for a while again. Last year I was a little put off by my poor rig and the low amount of views I got on my latest posts, especially on Laelia's tale, which I thought was the best chapter in imagery and words so far.
But I'd kinda like to get back to some skyrim and get rid of that little writers blockade I had too. Well, after I got through the next week though. It's at least always a pleasure to come back here and look on all the awesome pictures and stories out there.

I remember those and how sad I was over Sun and Moon - that was such a heart ripper of a story. I very much enjoyed your stories and shots. It is hard though as writing probably isn't as popular and does take more time (for both the poster and the viewer/reader). I try to focus on just doing it for myself and the few folks I know who enjoy reading them.

In many ways it is practice for me though as I want to write a book when I retire from work. Getting feedback and sharing on Nexus is very mild and safe but I enjoy it and helps build my confidence somewhat. So writing I need to do even if I don't post them as I need practice.

Plus I love how writing really adds to immersion in the game. For me Grim has so much personality now and so much history. He has become far more than just a game character limited to what the game story provides.

Also Skyrim is old by game standards, ancient even I am always surprised how active the community is all things considered. But it is quieter than when I first started that is for sure.

I think the game has aged exceptionally well thanks to it's modabilty, especially graphics wise. The open world fantasy setting is just a great way for people to flesh out their own imagination, at least for me it's the main reason why I always get back to this game. It has a lot more space to develop you very own characters than other titles like Dragon Age where your characters always exists in the storys corset. While in Skyrim for example they could easily just live in this world without being dragonborn by never touching the main quest (or even cut it out completely with a mod). This independence of choice is what makes Skyrim outstanding and always fun to come back to.
As for the writing, I tend to be more of a occasional and kinda impulsive writer, easily writing a lot when inspired but also not touching a story for weeks or even month if I lack the inspiration and can't seem to find the right words and sentences to properly express the story in my head.

I guess the of putting thing wasn't so much the decreased attention I got, but the way it was caused by how Image section works. Often your posts get rapidly burried under a lot of other posts and go relatively unnoticed unless you draw peoples attention by endorsements/comments or pumping out content. Or in short, the received attention usually scales with activity (you need less activity once you got some attention though), but I had no time and little motivation to really be active enough...it's a vicious cycle. This issue could easily be improved by additional top-x images of the day and/or week or something quite simple like that. Maybe I should try officially suggesting such things and not just ramble about it though.

Well said and I think you nailed it, in a very polite way, that it really depends on how active you are. It would be nice if there was a way to focus more - perhaps more tags to filter/search on and a limit to one top image per person per week or some such.

Wonderful shots and I must ask, where did you get the rats from? I had to open that up full size and they look great.

Thank you for the info! I know you have tried it, but I saw you were having a lot of crashes with windows 10, can you run Skyrim in Windows 7 compatibility mode maybe?

That is an interesting idea actually - could try that with Sweetfx - thanks!

On a side note I solved the crashing I think by changing the parameter "disable memory manager" to true in enblocal.ini - it forces ENB to use the Nvidia driver and not the one Boris has with ENB. I think there were some memory glitches involved and normally ENB is more stable but in this case, on my system, the Nvidia is better. If I recall the parameter right lol ... I could have it in reverse. Anyhow I had recalled a thread Boris had written in explaining the parameter in regards to crashes occurring so thought I would try it - seems to have helped. I played for 4 hours last night in the same place I was crashing every 5-10 minutes and not a single problem.

      Keeping vitural fingers crossed

Not seen the real Grim & Wolf for some time, I don't have the time to follow both sites at the same time, but due to Bethesda messing up my game with their latest patch I can't tolerate FO4 Atm, will post there tomorrow with my problem. Not game breaking but totally immersion breaking.

Anyway they are both still looking as good as I remember them, Wolfgar seems to have smelt a rat or two. Nice looking Lillies. Love the way grim seems to be searching frantically in the hunt while Wolfgar's just chilling and will spot anything before Grim does in the last pic

Thank you for checking out the post/story Corf! I know what you mean but on tracking multiple places. Most folks on my tracking are not on FO4 though so that keeps it a bit easier. Course I can't keep up with random posts either which I miss but only so much time in a day.

I saw your problem with FO4 and only hope you get it fixed. I left a suggestion or two but hard to know just what the issue is.

    Wonderful images Jon!
Love the rain shots, because if one was outdoors in such weather, then it is twice comfortable at home.
The rats....where are the rats from?

Thanks kindly Heidi! The rats come with the Dawn of Riften mod - such a cool feature for this city I think. Really enjoy the added life they add as they run all over the city.

It is a nice and peaceful episode of Grim and Wolfgars life. It was a right decision, to exclude the hunting scenes. I like the pic before the rain started and the waterlilies....the brothers always
