Is she skilled in magic like most mer, or in her case, even half-Mer?
If so, that might come in handy later on....^^
Those Vile Thalmor got a well-deserved ticket to Oblivion from Femme Fatale (literally) Finayla. ^^
That poor Nord woman....Finayla no doubt gave her the honour of both a quick end to her suffering, and a decent burial.
Too bad she couldn't get any info from her....
Now, her path leads her inexorably to Skyrim.
Swiftly endorsed.
Warm and kind thanks and cheers for this new and intriguing character and her accompanying Saga, dear!
Sneak and peek, then shoot, loot and scoot!
(Mages are stealthy^^....right up until they fire, then they can kiss ALL stealth totally goodbye, as targeted spells are just like freaking tracer rounds: "they point BOTH ways"! )
It's hard to imagine what was going through poor Finayla's mind now witnessing first hand the brutality of the Thalmor. Perhaps better understanding the extent of the sacrifice her parents had made.
Beautiful work dear.
I imagine she was probably just acting on instinct during that confrontation, and only later when she got home would she be able to process the full horror of what she saw. But yes, I'm sure she'd have appreciated her parents sacrifice all the more seeing the Thalmor up close and personal like that.
Thanks my dear!!
I'm sure she'll meet plenty more Nords in Skyrim who can answer those questions though!
Seems like the Thalmor have few friends ... not that I feel any sympathy at all. They are an xenophobic political party that wants to either control or destroy all other races on Nirn. I have yet to see a single defense here, reddit, UESP, or anywhere else that justifies their actions ... except from their own viewpoint.
Glad Fin finished them all off although probably good that she did not get any enjoyment out of it - Grim learned that lesson ... partly. Overall killing should never be easy or feel good. At best it should be considered a necessity and a chore that has to be done. He tries to remember that when killing Thalmor and Slavers. Undead ... he usually feels good about killing as they are unnatural and he is actually bringing them peace.
Another fine chapter!
I think the Thalmor fully get what they deserve with all the hatred on the Nexus. Their reputation is not helped of course by us writers who constantly case them as the villains in our works (Nat's story about Dannee's horrific past encounter with the Thalmor and your own excursions with Domina come to mind). But despite that, I couldn't have Fin feel satisfied by killing them. As you said about Grim, killing is a necessary evil in this harsh world of tamriel, but not something a hero type character should revel in... (now my anti-hero Rathe on the other hand... ).
I always despised Thalmor for their opinion towards other races and their cruelty that knows no bounds which was clearly demonstrated when Finayla has encountered poor injured human... she really had no chance to survive after such torture, yet at least Thalmor got a pay back for their deed.
I've liked the way Finayla's feelings were described, that she was simply sick after her kill... it is very realistic, I think. I wonder how her destiny will unfold since she has such unusual fate before her as the Dragonborn...
I will look forward for continuation and thank you very much for sharing your wonderful work!
I couldn't have Fin feel any sense of satisfaction at killing the Thalmor. Despite what they've done and who they are, if it were me, I think the actual act of killing someone WOULD make me sick. It must be a pretty hard thing to have to do. Anyway, maybe in time she'll get more used to it (assuming she kills more Thalmor in her future - which given that she'd Dragonborn, is most likely ).
Thanks again my dear.
A great Work from you again my dear Jess
