EDIT: Had to revise this after I read the next chapter as I made a mistake.

Very interesting that she does not want Stardrir to know of her condition and wishes to keep it hidden. It makes me wonder why she wishes to hide what ever this condition is that seems to be a family trait. I think her father is right to some degree - trouble tends to come from such lies.

This did have a magical feel to it with the elvish language and the peaceful natural shots used in the story. The calm before the storm ...

Thanks hon. I'm curious though now what your original post was!! I think you'll like the 'condition' (which will be revealed in the next chapter). It's right up your alley!

I thought her condition was her pregnancy and that she wasn't going to tell him she was going to have a child - and Fin would be a secret.

Hahahaha! Well I've heard of pregnancy described as a 'condition' before!! I know I'd call it that (or a curse)!

Wonderful! I found I was getting so nervous at the thought of what might happen when Allenel arrived home and how her family would react to Stardrir and more so with learning of the keeping of secrets and truths untold! I really like that you've included the elven words in this and their translation- very fitting. I try to imagine what Valenwood looks like and then I saw your last image here in this set and I think that's it- exactly. Next chapter please...

Thanks hon! I'd love for the next TES game to be based in Valenwood actually. I love the forest areas of Skyrim and think they could make a truly breathtaking game...

I know what you mean and I'm kinda disappointed that TES6 (Argonia) is to be set in Black Marsh. Was really, really hoping for Valenwood! Hey- we'll take what we can get and if we don't like it- we've still got Skyrim! Sounds like a Win to me!

Yeah, argonia isn't my idea of the best of places either. Still, I wasn't really super looking forward to Skyrim either and look at me now... Addicted!

Wonderful and beautifully written continuation of new story with gorgeous and picturesque shots!
Great to see such love that Stardir and Allenel have has survived through the certain disdain her clan showed her beloved at first. Seems that no difficulties or differences between two such different people can ruin their love.
Allene had very interesting conversation with her father... seems that he is a very wise man, i loved his words about the truth and love, for no love can be built on lies and secrets and Allenel's lack of desire to tell her beloved about her condition gave me a bad feeling that something might happen with her...
The bits with ancient elven language were very beautiful, a great addition to the story of Bosmer people who are unique with their way of life. Off to the next chapter!

Thanks my dear! I was thinking very much of the Dalish elves in DAI when I wrote this piece - which is why I also wanted them to speak some elven. I know that TECHNICALLY the Bosmer never really spoke Ayleidoon but I so love reading another language... it's so magical and mystical and adds to the mystique of a foreign culture I think.

I was also trying to create Erandas to be somewhat like Solas from DAI so your comments about him seeming wise warm me as I was hoping to evoke that feeling!! Thanks again my dear!

The love Allenel and Stardrir had indeed grown very strong in the time in took them to return to the forests, surviving the scrutiny of Allenel's clan and their anger over the response of the nords to their plea for help, Allenel's father growing to accept the love between them. That moment with Allenel's father was very well done, her shy approach and graceful movement to sit beside him, her beautiful words on how much she loved Stardrir, the intrigue of her father's worries. I do wonder what condition he speaks of that she so strongly wants to hide, a secret like a shadow hanging over them. Another fantastic chapter, Jess

Thanks hon, glad you enjoyed this tale. I was a bit concerned at having only scenic shots to accompany this piece, but I really wanted to create the sense of peace and tranquility of that moment Allenel and Erandas met beneath the canopy of Valenwood. Thankfully, there are a few places in Skyrim that can 'pass' for the woods of the Bosmer homeland!!

A yes, a secret shadow... there's always a secret shadow no?
