Nice work! I love that last paragraph when the PS 'magically' appears in Grim's letter. Very Harry Potter cool touch! I like how Grim handled Sabjorn and the poisoning of the brew. I had wondered how he'd manage contaminating a brew and potentially injuring or killing the hundreds of people who's drink from it. Good way of handling it so this didn't happen.

Very keen to see where the Karliah tale takes Grim (or rather, where YOU take Karliah's tale with that unique mind of yours my dear) !

I see another few chapters are up. I'm off to read straight away!

Appreciate the feedback Jess and comment! I figured Sam would be monitoring the letter and would know when his seal was cracked ... so it seemed perfectly in line with something he would do.

Yea the whole poison thing is a tough one. Still Arcadia owes Grim a few favors and they became good enough friends that Grim hired her as an agent of the BWC (although not an actual member). She wasn't keen on Sabjorn either so she didn't mind helping out

Very nice continuation of the Tale friend, these shots with your Enchanded version is beautiful

Grim proving once again that he is a good man with Sabjorn, but also in having changed the poison, I liked to see how you have slightly modified the event of this quest of the game, that's what's nice when the story is written, it gives more opportunity.

It seems that Karliah could learn about the mother of Grim, I hope that the dark plans of Mercer will not prevent the proper conduct of the meeting between her and Grim whether it should take place one day.

Oh, a letter of Sanguine, it seems that Daedra is in good terms with Grim, hope it lasts!
It was fun to see the reaction of Erik, his jealousy when he read "Hey Handsome" haha", in any case Erik was counting to get to the invitation before he even realize he was also invited with Wolfgar.
It may be a Daedra that invited them, but I did not worry me too much, I do not know why but Sanguine does not really seem to me a threat, maybe I should not because it is after while the prince of debauchery, we shall see!

Thanks for the wonderful comment and feedback Franck! This quest always bothered me for its many plot holes; not that mine are much better though. Still I decided to tweak it a little to better fit Grim's story. This is a sandbox RPG after all!

I do not think Sam has any plans to hurt Grim - he could do so easily enough if he wanted plus he risked a lot by helping him before. Course that doesn't mean Sam doesn't have some mischief in store for Grim - he is who he is after all

As for Grim's mom ... well I am trying to work in a few more hints and background about Alfrun as I do these side stories so people get more information on her. However meeting Karliah and those related quests and is where he will finally learn the truth. With the end of the TG questline will come the end to the "Mother Grim" story ... although certainly not the end of Grim's story ... he still has a long road left to travel.

Thanks :-) Although I will say the focus of the story is more the favor he is going to ask of Grim

    Oh, an invitation from Sanguine.
I like this Daedric Prince, and he knows how to party!
I´m sure, Wolfgar will get a few tidbits, and Grim and Erik will have a lot of fun.

    Looking forward for the continuation.

    DAT Sanguine!!!!

Glad to see your writing again
I laughed at the last bit with the letter, it just shows you the Daedra really are keeping their eyes on him :b.I wonder at that moment how many Princes were watching :b.

Probably way to many! However I suspect in this case that when Grim broke Sam's seal it alerted him that someone had opened his letter ... so he tuned in at that point to check. Of course he probably hung around to see the reactions so was able to adjust things as needed :-)

Aye still writing - that massive DB plotline really drained me though so I needed to step back and take a bit of a break. I got another big plot line coming as well so easing back into things with a side story or two. While not directly related to the Grim's main quest it is relevant. He is going to need all the allies he can get and this is the quest that explains how he helps out Sam and gains a new ally.

Thanks for the comment and glad you enjoyed the story :-)

Seems those illusion spells still serve Grim well, I am sure Edrelle would approve of the skill he has with those magics. It is interesting the way Grim dealt with the meadery situation, using that altered poison to leave no evidence of it after that ill fated mead tasting. Using a little subtlety to get Sabjorn to run a Meadery in the distant Cyrodill, Edrelle did not have such sympathy for the man, him being arrogant as the nobles she stole from with in Highrock. It is good to see Grim nearer to the answers about his mother though that is likely to draw him to some danger, a web of intrigues woven about his mother. I wonder what that mischievous Sanguine wants with Grim with Erik and Wolfgar invited along, was amsuing how Sam added the lines to the letter. A wonderful chapter, Jonathan

Many thanks Alexi! Aye Grim has been using the illusion spells a lot more. It is totally in keeping with his character and work though (Rogue, Ranger, BWC, Fenrir the "Trickster" wolf, etc) and think it works out well enough.

Sabjorn - I do not like him at all myself. However stealing from nobles is a bit different than putting them into prison for life (well unless the Noble was really a bad person). Sabjorn doesn't seem evil, just greedy and arrogant. The BWC can keep a close watch on him now and he doesn't fully own the brewery in Cyrodiil. Grim is probably a bit to soft sometimes I think. But he does what he feels is right for him

There will be many webs to avoid with Alfrun and I am very much looking forward to working on those stories which will be coming up soon. Got lots going on

As for the next story line (which will probably be maybe 2-3 chapters, got the first part about half done) I am also going to have a lot of fun with it. Something a bit more light hearted.

Many thanks Farvat! Especially considering your in-depth and amazing lore you create for your characters. I do what I can to try and be consistent with my main story characters and work on showing some of their personality and interaction so appreciate your kind feedback on this.
