I loved the anguish and guilt poor Sofie went through when she had to come clean with Dannee, but even more, I loved Dannee's beautiful reaction which was motherly concern but also unflinching forgiveness. I can't blame Serana for her blunt way of trying to scare Sofie from doing anything like that in the future. It's her nature to be like that. I bet Sofie went and had a really good long sleep of relief and lingering guilt after Dannee left her!
I love how you've incorporated Garm as kind of an otherworldly guide. He seems more like a familiar than a corporeal wolf. I'd keep an eye on him! And as for the huntsman himself... well, it's so obvious he wants Dannee back in his fold; under his influence. She's like honey to these Daedric lords! I'd love to see Sam, the huntsman and Mora all come to blows over the beautiful Dragonborn! I'm so worried where the Huntsman's plan (ploy?) will lead her so I'm off to check out the next chapter now!!
I am very glad that you've liked the whole exchange of Sofie and Dannee about Sofie's dangerous adventures. Loving Sofie so much, like a real mother Dannee couldn't react any other way, while Serana had assumed more aggressive approach of scaring kid and if she was on Dannee's place, I bet Sofie would not get away with her lies that lead her to misadventure so easily.
Oh, Garm is so cute, that i couldn't leave him aside, and very happy that you've liked his portrayal here. Yeah, Hircine wants Danne, it was obvious since she has first met him and indeed, the soul of Lat Dragonborn is like honey for Daedra, while Hircine has in mind a big test for Dannee Oh, that would be a sight to see, a showdown between Herma-Mora, Hircine and Sanguine! It could happen if only Dannee has foolishly pledged her loyalty to all three, but luckily she had never done such thing. I wonder who would win though... but afraid it might Herma-Mora and that sure would have devastated Dannee for no one of Daedra has treated her as badly as him.
So now Dannee is involved in yet another quest at the "request" (If we can call it that) of the mysterious Hircine. A fascinating character to say the least. (I LOVE seeing Garm's involvement here)
I see why the title fits so well, Dannee's road indeed never ends...

And Dannee once again found that she couldn't resist the "request" of Daedra, since there is no other option than to accept it. I am very happy that you've liked Hircine's portrayal in this story, he is fascinating Daedra.
Dannee's meeting with Hircine, I get the impression there is more going on then we see, he seems to be interested in a way that is not all just friends, he seems to be looking at her as a mate, or maybe I read into it more then there is, oh if I am right, Sam is not going to like this at all.. maybe it will be the thing that will push him to into finally admitting to himself he has feelings.
And in Dannee and Hircine's case, his playful behavior would be explained in the next chapter, but it will be another test for Dannee, he has heard enough how loyal she is to her romance with Sam and wants to see it is true or just pretty words... And you are right, in any case Sam is not going to like it at all. As for admitting his feelings... well, maybe he will one day, but that is remains to be seen..
Once again Dannee will take up the challenge set down by other forces to protect those close to her and who she cares about which is Dannee through and through.
