Great work my friend! Loved seeing Grim in the Sleeping Giant, as clearly he is the giant!
Loved this!
I can't get over just how big Grim is. When he's amongst normal folk he kinda just blends in but then when he stands really close to someone like he did with Delphine it's kind of; damn!! (And boy do I have a thing for big, beefy guys) !
Some gorgeous shots in this series, but I think my favourite was of the two nervous lads in the tavern looking at Wolfgar with some trepidation. This shot just captured your words so perfectly! I could almost see the one tentatively handing out a piece of cheese to the gentle wolf.
Thanks my dear for giving me such a fantastic read again.
Thanks for the feedback on the story and context, much appreciated and glad you liked the shots
I did get a kick out of Wolfgar using the two tavern visitors surprise at a wolf being in the Inn to his advantage for cheese hehe.. cute, lords he is growing. I am surprised at Erik getting robbed, his attention on nothing but Grim could have been dangerous, lucky it was only his gold they were after. Even when you think you can let your guard down, in a safe place with people you know sometimes there is evil lurking such as with the thief.
Oh I did enjoy seeing that Delphine put in her place, and wow she is a little thing, I forget with my girl so small that compared to Grim she would be a midget lmao... I am glad to see the men be wary of her, she really is not to be trusted I feel, she has her own way and truly will use Grim for her uses. I use a mod called The Paarthurnax Dilemma but will not say more in case you have never did this quest complete as I could not stand how they want to control the Dragonborn... makes some choices yours and gives a chance to put her in her place at least once lol...
I have not done this quest this game start, to be honest is my least favorite as Ambrosia and that woman do not see eye to eye at all.. I will be very interested to see how Grim handles this trial of her and her expecting him to prove himself, So if he decides he would sooner Wolf out and eat her please take a shot as I would enjoy seeing that so much lol...
Wonderful story, enjoyed it very much the easy banner between Grim and Erik, Wolfgar enjoying the traveling and the wonderful way you told this part of his journey, and oh Amazing shots, love the one where they are walking behind the farm..
In general when you write everything has a purpose, unlike life, as each word has to be manually placed as it were. However that can include some random things. I mean people get pick-pocketed or robbed all the time. Erik is not a thief nor has he had that level of training with the BWC (unlike Grim) and he was also distracted. In a smokey, dark, busy tavern something like that might go unnoticed so I tossed it in.
I have completed the quest line once back in 2011 with my first character so I know the ending. I will stick with the vanilla aspect if only because I also know psychologically how minds work. Delphine's entire life is about being a blade. Imagine finally seeing dragons come back. It validated her whole existence as a blade (when before it meant nothing as all dragons had been dead and even the emperor had discharged the blades). Seeing dragons was the enemy was core to her very being. I can understand how she simply could not get around that aspect to see the truth or take the risk with Paarthurnax. It would be similar if someone asked Grim to trust a Thalmor or Vampire (and we shall see how things go with Serena), although Grim hates the Thalmor more than he does Vampires.
Glad you enjoyed the banter and story, I like to balance the good with the bad to some degree and a lot of it just comes out. I think my sub-conscious has a better handle on the personalities of my character than my conscious does. And yes Grim is big :-) I wanted very much to have him be a bit of a giant because Fenrir is a massive wolf and they are father and son. There are pros and cons to it and I enjoy working with those constraints. But then I like my men big
I suspect Ambrosia could sit on his shoulder like a cute little pixie ... well a pixie with a sharp knife and attitude :-)
Glad to see Erik back in action!
And OMG Grim is soooo huge!! O_o
You've put a lot of thought into the characters, and it shows, keep it up
P.S. ENDORSED
I liked also the passage or small Wolfgar request food to people in the Inn ^^
I'm sure more will be epic for our friends, I looked forward to the meeting with Alduin
