Your pictures are always fantastic. But it is above all, the story to be pleasant and enjoyable. I particularly enjoyed this interlude that explores their relationship in a very rich feeling. Their relationship of friendship (or love?) connects them with the landscape to rebuild a relationship between the human and the natural world. Power of love.

Thank you Farvat, I will say the writing is my favorite thing to do as I like creating a lot - to the point I just do it for the sheer pleasure of it. Posting it on Nexus just adds the icing to the cake as it were. I have kept their relationship a bit nebulous for a few reasons but am still working around romance or bromance

Very nice work Wolf, beautiful shot, we can see that the Grim pack is welded as a true pack must be.
I liked the way or Grim talks about his adoptive mother, Erik has been wise not to speak to him of his mother.

    The great Grim said:
It helps to remind me what I am fighting for; the protection of life and the natural world."

    Excellent, what a beautiful sentence

Many thanks Basstos. Aye Grim is a huge nature lover and he values life even while he knows sometimes you have to take one in order to protect it. But life/death is part of nature after all. Its only when the dead come back to life that he gets concerned.

Glad you enjoyed the story and I plan on doing a few more - not as often though as back at work full time - so more of a weekend thing now unless I scrounge up some extra time at night.

Aw this was such a sweet instalment dear! I love when Grim has to untangle his clumsy tongue around Erik to speak what really in his heart. He so reminds me of his dad who has this halting way if saying 'mushy stuff'. I think Erik's more carefree nature is good for grim; he seems to be a man not ill at ease with saying what's really on his mind. Maybe the years "arguing" with his father over being allowed out into the world taught him to speak his passion and not bottle it up?

Anyway, gorgeous shots as always dear, so warm and rich and a nice sweet story for me to go to bed with in my mind. Cheers hon.

Thanks Jess! Sometimes Grim can be direct, like animals are, but animals also don't have the complexities of social communication in relationships and all the stuff we humans bring to it. So while Grim can "pretend/act" a certain way when on a mission or pumping for information he is less certain when all of that is real emotions with people he cares about - as he has more to lose/risk in many ways. Erik is more comfortable with things but he is still a bit overwhelmed by Grim so he doens't always speak up. Still my goal is to make Erik the more confident one in the relationship and he will have to do more of the prodding. Grim could have said a lot more ... and he wanted to ... but the most he could get out at this point was the "You. Being with you makes me happy.'
