The Emperor stood with his back to the intruder, his face shadowed from view. He knew what was behind him though.

"Would do do me a small favour?"

The assassin lowered her weapon for a moment, then reached up and removed her mask.

"Which would be?"

"Such a sweet voice for such a dark person, I'm sure your victims love to hear you speak in their final moments. I digress... You see I knew this was going to happen, and I'm hoping you will grant me a last wish - the one who sent you here, whomever they are - they cannot be allowed to live. Someone like that, they cannot be permitted to carry on. Would you consider ending the life of such a traitor, for me?"

The Assassin stepped forward, placing her hand on his shoulder.

"I'll think about it. That's all I can promise."

Closing his eyes, the Emperor sighed.

"That's all I can ask of you. Now, let us get this over with."

A few moments later Emperor Tidus Mede II was found dead, slumped in his chair, an arrow stuck through his throat from behind.
