- Fenn is not as powerful as he makes Sofie think with the pesky vampires, he had a form of help in dealing with them but that will be explained later.
- Sofie, of course, will not make it home with none the wiser as she has stuff to tell Dannee ... but I figured people would work that out.
- Initially I planned on Fenn having no memories of being Fenrir for the same reason I did that in FO4. But because of some things happening with Grim in Skyrim he had to change his plans. Consequently he adopted two roles. A nature spirit called the Thistle King, in which he does remember his past, and a mortal human in which those memories are blocked off (in many ways for his own protection) ... although sometimes dreams and visions will leak through to his consciousness (just like how I did it in FO4).
- I could have had Sofie know about the Fey Folk but since TES lore makes no mention of it, and it hasn't come up in past stories, it felt too forced to all of a sudden have her remember all kinds of stories and lore about them. Instead the Fey Folk are actually a group of lesser Aedra who were tricked like the rest of their brethren into making Nirn. When some of the greater Aedra fled with Magnus this lesser group lacked the power to flee. But they managed to create a magical realm slightly out of sync with Nirn - the land of the Fey (or land of the Fairies). They became nature spirits of a more advanced nature known as the Fey Folk ... but not many on Nirn knows their true nature and instead refer to them as Spriggans, Wisps, or just general nature spirits - which is how they tend to appear to mortals. Some mages, religious scholars, and other educated masters may know a little about them. A few common folk may have interactions with them but not know who they are dealing with. Perhaps if Sofie did some digging she might learn something ... or perhaps Fenn might visit her again and provide some answers instead of riddles ...
If I have time may incorporate more of the lore I am building on it into stories.
Sofie's right...no one going to believe her mwahhahaha
Glad you enjoyed the story. I like Fenn/Fenrir being a bit of a pain with his riddles and lack of information just like he was with Grim.
Anyway, fun little read. I know what a pain it can be to get the little guys to behave how you want 'em but it's kinda fun in a way. At least from my experience
Ouch sucks that. There was a time where I would often work on weekends from home (although not full days) as well as nights but it was more by choice as I was enjoy the work a lot and wanted to keep up on it. I try to avoid it with a passion now and stick to the standard work week. Seniority helps a little there.
Although if you wanted to take the vanilla Fox meshes and textures and overhaul them ... well that would be awesome. The poor foxes are really lacking in Skyrim in detail.
I will PM you the link for it now.
You combined Nataly´s and your world in an outstanding tale. All is so logical and harmonic and suits perfectly to the world of Skyrim, yes, it´s masterly written
The pictures, you made are wonderful too ... well staged and with fantastic poses. So many lovely ideas ... the ring of mushrooms, the riding of the fox, posing on the road sign ...
This and this pic are wonderful in the simple beauty and the colours
Yepp this was the full taste of fantasy-world, I like so much Thank you for sharing your world with us
Skyrim such creativity allows. I am glad that this is so. I do it too.
So is Fenn the reason the the Fennec fox got it's name? Coincidence? I think not!
PS - I did not know about the Fennec fox and that is pretty cool actually (I looked it up).
