As you can see, I've got even less time to spend, so I'm a very rare guest here. Know that I miss you all!
Well, I can't spoil the story, but I really hope she will turn to the light, too. Actually, I have two branches of the story prepared in my mind, one happy and one... not so happy. We shall see which one will be written down.
Thanks again!
It really shows how well you write. That simple description does so much to convey the sense of where she is. A faint memory of soap ... in the dark ages, in some place where people are dirty as a way of life. Travelers on the road in the cold with no modern conveniences. Dirty and sweaty - washing is hard work. Only a faint memory of soap remains from the last time it was washed.
Oh ... and I have never liked Uthgerd until now. Now I love and adore her. You really wrote her well.
And thank you all the kind words, my friend. It means a lot.
Even if I think she can make a decision to be both; who is to say the Dragonborn has to be all nice and shiny .. who is to say that the hero of the world can't be one that kills for Sithis and Coin; that keeps the darker family at heart while trying to struggle through fate's jokes.. So I'm quite interested in seeing how this will; in time; move along! Well done!
Yeah, I think Uthgerd had to make a very difficult choice there: in all her other appearances in the story she was always the one pushing Saga forward, trying to make her embrace the same principals she herself believed in. Here, I think, she was trying to do what a friend was, according to her, supposed to do: let her friend make a choice and hope it would be a right one.
You're absolutely right about the Dragonborn not necessarily being virtuous and gallant
Thank you for your comment!
I enjoyed the reading very much. I like your style....how you described the dream, the awakening, the meeting with Uthgerd and the kind of dialoge, they had to each other...so soft and so sensitive written...
Saga is such a vulnerable Dragonborn....I'm really glad, she found a way, to be strong inside.
I also like the wonderful pictures, you made....fantastic facial expressions, dark and moody.
Fantastic work
