For those curious I have a special mod for Grim that turns him into a true son of Fenrir (based on my Wolf-Blooded mod). Here are some of his special abilities (he isn't meant to be a push over - I play Marrok for a more hardcore challenge):

Storm Blood from Kyne grants 50% Shock resistance
Fenrir's Blood grants 99% frost resistance
Ancestral Blood from Alfrun (Dunmer mother) grants 25% fire resistance
Beast Friend lets him soothe wild beasts with his voice for three hours
Inner Beast summons a controlled rage to fight better (Orc racial)
Fenrir's Son (in werewolf form he regenerates health [slowly], howls have 25% longer time, right after he transforms time slows down for 20 seconds, immune to disease)
Black Wolf Company Elite Training Bonuses: +5% to one handed weapons, +15% to stealth, +15% decreased illusion casting costs, +30 to unarmed damage)

Standing 8 feet 3 inches tall also gives him added speed and damage in combat.

On the other hand he carries almost no inventory, he sticks to his favorite weapons (Longclaw - in 1H and 2H forms), Fang and Tooth Nordic daggers, ancient bow - none of which have any enchantments on them and do vanilla baseline damage), will never use any enchantment (except Dawnbreaker which he considers divine power), and his armor is simple light iron and leather armor with no magic or adjusted AC - although I did make it "light" armor versus heavy.

Overall he is a lot of fun to play.

I like your concept for the new game with Grim. You built a good bridge from the past to the now
The idea, to start with only some special skills is very nice.
I tried it too. I my home-community , we started an event, what was called : death is death, what meant, that you start the game with one character and you play him so long until he is dead. I did it with Ardee and decided, she will act as a full mage without real weapons....I can say, it was really hard and the role play is completely different, when you tries to be alive...it was a wonderful experience for me Whe she was died, I was not able, to stop, to play with her from time to time...and...until today, she not wears a real weapon ( but she has three followers )

Thanks BM and sorry about the late response! Thought I had replied to your very nice comment. Your community event sounds very cool - its called Iron Man mode over here in the states. If you die thats it game over. Not for me though - Real life is iron man mode - prefer to have more options in my games

Thanks Mikie! One tip no the Snap DOF - just edit the quality and reduce the quality to 1 and that should save you a lot of fps. The range is 1 to 7 and it can make a difference. Of course the higher values do look a lot better but if you still want some of the look and feel can try it. I tend to play with it on 5 myself.

Lol that might fit actually. But more what you call a male who has some streaks of grey in his hair - especially a guy classified as a bear.

It is awesome to see Grim again and wonderful to know that you enjoy playing him again, explaining his newest adventures by undead invasion that left Skyrim in such vulnerable state that it needs lots of rebuilding while grim being noble hearted could not pass away and not help with his donations. I like Grim look with feral wolf eyes and his black\silver beard also looks very fitting, given that time did pass, not to mention his merging with Lorkhan. It was also cool to catch glimpse of Marrok and to see Erik, i love it how he is always so supportive of Grim!

Thanks Nataly! Sorry for all the repeats though. I had restarted Grim once already on my old PC, as well as Marrok ... and now had to do it all over again on the new PC since I didn't move their games over (was safer and easier to start fresh than risk any game corruption). So both of them are retracing their steps for like the third time now :p

Worth it in the end I hope for a nice stable game. Also very pleased with Grim because I was able to switch to SkySkins for his textures which preserved his look but gave more detail to his skin. Hardest was his face but I was able to finally figure out how to keep some of his previous files so now he looks exactly like he did in his original game only much more detailed. Of course some difference from aging but that was on purpose. Silver-gray added to his beard, increased the shadow tints on his eyes, and used a rougher complexion. Really happy with how he looks - older but the same Grim. Also enjoy playing him a bit fresh although I do miss his history ... but for the most part my mind is happy knowing his history is preserved in all his stories and that I have a rationale as to why he is starting fresh.

      Thanks again for the comment!

It is no surprise that Grim would use all his gold to help the people of Skyrim after the destruction left by those shadowy foes and leave his estates to those in need of shelter, he has a big heart after-all. It is good to hear you are having fun wandering about the wilds of Skyrim and coming up with a reason Grim is back to square one, it is interesting to try to explain those things in a way that fits a character's tale. The shots are wonderful with their warm hues and soft light, gives them a relaxing feeling

Thanks Alexi! Tell Edrelle that Grim is taking a page from her book and will be visiting a lot of Nobles hoarding their gold, or worse profiteering from the war, and relieving them of said gold and using it to fund his mission to help rebuild Skyrim.

Aye having a lot more fun than I thought. I was somewhat "dreading" redoing all his content. But finding I love being a low level with him again and a chance to do many quests I never did with him. Being turned into a story character I actually did very few quests with him - mainly the main story ones and the three guild ones plus a few randoms. I still need to do the guild ones at some point but otherwise going to focus more on exploring and doing many of the city quests I never did.

Mixed in with Fallout 4 and playing Marrok - guess my winter is booked

Edrelle is glad to hear Grim is relieving those nobles of their hoarded gold to be put to better use, she sends her regards

It is nice to be able to do a bunch of the randoms quests found in the lands of Skyrim, did a lot of that with Akhaz'iir before I started his tale. Will be busy with Edrelle's tale and Fallout 4 in the winter

Thats my personal favorite :-) Almost used it as a main but since it was a close-up it shows up better in the smaller format of the body so I went with a larger shot.

I hope they go back to a 1024 width for text body shots like they said they would someday. So tired of the 600 limit :p

Very cool. I actually love starting over. Especially with a role play character. Your story/reason fits perfectly into Grim's personality and all the chapters you have written.

Thanks Patrick! I love the low levels best in most games, especially Skyrim. But I tend to be a one character person. Only Skyrim's long life for me (4+ years) has let me have more than one character. If I stick with Marrok that will only make 4 main characters as Grim has been my third since summer 2013.
