NOTES: I guess a little of my writing desire is slowly returning after all as I enjoyed writing this little piece. In-game I have a loose over-arching plan/goal for Marrok that could work as the framework for a story. I have been building it slowly over the last few weeks. But for now just going with these simple stories where the screen shots are meant just as loose back drops to the text. I have a new PC on order and not sure what setting that up will entail (other than it will be a big project) so don't want to get myself into the middle of a large writing project until the transfer and set-up is done.

In the mean time I hope you all enjoy these little excursions into Marrok's world and don't mind the little teasers about who he is. It should come as no surprise, however, that he is a werewolf ... especially with his first and last name.

PS - I can say, if things all go well, that all these characters (Marrok, Fyrulf, Kavel, Garulf) will eventually join up with Grim, Erik and Wolfgar ... along with a few others. They will make up his squad which he will need very soon.

Nice story for this part of Marrok's adventure in Skyrim. I was think about the gear for the transformation and how that normally gets over looked and damn if you didn't cover that base!

Thanks! Grim doesn't have to worry about it. Fenrir taught him how to enchant his armor so that it will transform with him. His equipment is just moved to a pocket realm in Fenrir's plane of Oblivion.

Marrok lacks those tools so his stuff goes in his pack. One reason he travels very light (which is a real thing and not just for a story - I don't let him carry barely anything in his inventory - makes game play more challenging).

Seems marrok is going to have to come to terms with that he's not normal which might a bit of a chock to him considering he doesn't know to much about his family backgrounds. I wonder how much he really knows about his heritage since he seems comfortable with what he is while be aware that his blood might cause the normal folk a scares.

He seems quite bright and fairly easy going and good luck with your new pc build

Thanks Corfus. I forget how much I post till someone comes around and catches up lol.

Marrok has little past prior to age 7-8 or so from all accounts. I haven't gotten into how he got his wolf-blood yet, or why he is in Skyrim. I have already changed his last name and tweaked his looks a few times ... and re-started him for the third time from Helgen (from the very start - opening game as I am anal about my new character being 100% pristine ... its my weird mind at play) today. I think I am very close to his final character though. I went through the same thing with Grim.

Plus with the new PC coming I really don't want to write anything about anyone knowing I might have to rebuild again. Better to wait until I have a stable set up. So right now just experimenting a lot with mods and ideas.

Seems like Marrok is not a fan of being the chosen one. Looks far more at ease and in his natural environment going out alone to run the fields in beast form. Funny that Signar and Lydia were getting busy which gave him the chance to sneak out.

Looks like a beastie computer you're getting down below. The one I just built is pretty similar. Biggest difference is I went with an i7-5930 6-core and a water cooled GTX 980TI. I also decided to experiment with an Intel 750 series SSD for games. As soon as I know it's all stable and good to go I will start overclocking.

Thanks Wadelycan :-) Marrok likes the city life okay it was more how quickly everything was moving - it felt out of control to him and he likes to be in control.

I am not really a hardware person - lack the patience for it. I don't like fiddling with computers actually (beyond the fact that I have to for work) which is why I don't like SLI and didn't go water cooled as I don't want to be bothered with maintenance. I don't really overclock either - the only over-clocking will be done by the team putting the computer together (who are experts) and will be a safe over-clocking that works with the custom build coolant system and fans - I emphasized to them I wanted a very low maintenance "leave it alone" system. My last PC was like that which was great. All I did was blow out the dust and clean the inside/outside every couple of months.

They did a great job on my last PC and was very happy with it. Still works great and has a Titan in it so planning on keeping it as a spare for now. Once the new PC has proven itself, and been paid off, the spare will go to my brother or will donate it to some place.

Marrok seems to be warming to some of the Nords especially Signar, who wouldn't right? But his heart is calling out to be in his true skin, that of a werewolf. I know that feeling of being out of my comfort zone and then returning to what I know best. Makes you appreciate all the little things, like the grass brushing against your furry underbelly

A fun little insight into Marrok's life there Grim. Look forward to more

Good luck with the new build too.

Thanks Nathan. In this case it wasn't really the city that Marrok felt confining it was the sudden clamps of fate. He felt he was barely in Skyrim and his entire life was now laid out before him. He would get a house in Whiterun and be the Thane. Lydia would move in with him and Signar would be over the time to visit her. He would work for the Jarl and be some sort of hero for the Nords. He needed to clear his head. Plus he does have his original reason for coming to Skyrim that was interrupted by the ambush.

So,... some more background unfolds while even more is clouded. It must be true what they say, the more you hear or read, the more you realise you know so little,...
    Very nice story Jon,...

Great story ! Very enjoyable to read. Seems like poor Marrok is quite weary of all those chains of events and not being able to get much needed rest. The whole deal with Helgen, then Bleakfall..the dragon attack...it comes to be alot. Loved the comparison that the Dragonborn possibly being just a crude version of the Nevarine. Nice touch. Signar and Lydia? teehee. I couldn't help but to chuckle at Marrok's swearing...him and Rhiannon should have a swearing contest ! hahaha.

Curious to see what happens next with this handsome Dunmer :3

Many thanks Lia! I think the well educated and somewhat cynical Dunmer was over-whelmed with everything. Still he is a stoic person used to hardship so he survived ... but think he wants to get away before he finds himself married and living in a house in Whiterun.

Signar is gloomy but I don't think he would pass up someone like Lydia given the chance
