    Locked
    Sticky
Note: Changed title as I had to split the chapters up (got too long) and now it doesn't make sense. Now called "Heart Seeker."

Very good job John. I really like the first shot but the moment of peace shot and Vahlok's tomb. Very Impressive.

Oh glad you liked that shot - the old Sombers can be amazing in some of the tombs as long as there is enough light.

Excellent shots! I agree with Corfus, the main took a moment to fully realize, but that is what makes it awesome.

      Thanks very much Krigersk!

The tattoo on his chest is a rather long story but I can give the short version.

First you have to know Grim is the son of Fenrir, the winter wolf from Norse mythology. Except here in Skyrim, Fenrir is a Guardian Spirit of the North who is a protector of Nirn and the natural world.

Second while I call Grim a werewolf for easy reference he is not. The closest thing would be a pure-blooded Lycan. His mother is human but his father is the wolf-god. Fenrir was created by Lorkhan who tricked Hircine into mating with the Goddess Kynareth back when the gods walked on Nirn. So Grim's grandfather is Hircine and his Grandmother is Kyne (on his fathers side - on his mothers side they are human).

Third Grim is also dragonborn but not The Dragonborn. He isn't the hero that defeats Alduin or anything. But he does have dragonborn abilities.

With the above in mind I can now get to the tattoo. When Grim went to the Greybeards they did a special ceremony to reveal his true inner nature. They expected a Dragon's head but instead it revealed his wolfish side - his inner beast.

So that tattoo represents Grim's connection to Fenrir and wolves.

That is the super, super short version and I left a lot out

Thats an interesting background, deep and complex. And with so legendary ancestors, your Grim is comparable to the ancient nords heros of the real world (and of Skyrim's legends too).
      Very impressive.

Great set Jon, Had to adjust my eyes to the main image took me a few secs to figure it out with the darkness. I hope some one told Wolfgar ash doesn't taste so good, he might learn that the hard way.

Both Kavel and Erik are looking Handsome and manly, and I like the steam/smoke of the Vahlok's Tomb shot. before we get a moment of peace.

Now that last shot I won't guess whats going on there accept to say it looks a little disturbing seeing his face

Aye it is very dark. These shots don't do as well in this medium as they need to be seen full screen to make out the details. But the dungeon was very dark and I didn't want to artificially lighten it too much as it then washes out things. Wolfgar did learn the hard way as you will see in the story.

Speaking of which I should not leave Nexus loaded on my browser as I keep getting distracted ... procrastinating ... On page 6 now so may have to split this chapter up. Probably do 2-4 more pages and then stop. Not sure it will be done today as I still have a lot of screen shots to take, and proofing, but hope to have the writing done today at least.

As for the last shot - yea Grim is not a happy camper there - furious and filled with rage is probably a good description.
