...and I had a good laugh as I saw Erik with this huge teddy bear!
I also enjoyed the story as well, it reminded me of the first series I posted here that were all about the traveling Skyrim experience, not to say these two have something beautiful going on.
But, a hot day in Skyrim? really?.... I thought it was supposed to be cold even in summer.
As for the heat ... well I do actually have an explanation in my own mind while playing and when I wrote this although my stories are to long as it is to explain there
In general I consider it somewhat relative. E.g. In the summer a 50 degree day is considered cold and put on a coat. In the middle of winter a 50 degree day is considered very warm. Skyrim is normally cold so when there is a warm day (which is possible) it would seem warmer to the inhabitants then it might to people who have real summers.. Nords are also cold resistant which always implied, to me, they deal better with cold then heat. Hence a very warm day to us might be a very hot day to them. I have seen similar things in areas of the far north in real life. Certainly not the norm but the occasional hot day (relative to a Nord), especially in some of the southern areas like the Rift or Falkreath, seems possible.
Anyway, I think this is true top image material, keep it up.
I use very simple posing tools as I like to keep my game fairly simple and clean. Most shots I just use console commands. There are some great screenarchery tips here:
http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1317820-basic-tutorial-for-screenarchery/
For mods I only use two for poses and expressions that are permanently part of my games:
Animation Pack Single Spell by JvM
Mfg Console by kapaer
On rare cases I will install this mod, do the screenshots, then uninstall it (as it is fairly immersion breaking to me due to how it works - however it is a GREAT mod and lots of fun to use):
Puppeteer Master by JohnB
I also use the PDF of animations Reimar67 made to go with it:
PUPPETEER MASTER - PICTORIAL REFERENCE GUIDE by Reimar67 by Reimar67
Thank you for the comment by the way!
Really like the color and tone of your ENB, superb work!
I may have to try Mfg Console sometime as well. Thanks for reminding me about it, Jon!
You've given your characters such warm personalities, I couldn't help but smile reading through this one. I have to catch up on nearly all of the ones posted before this.. luckily, there is a lot.
I write way to much but if you find yourself with some free time and want to catch up I keep links to all my main stories on my website:
Grim Tales
It is pretty current - I do need to add the 4 most recent chapters to the list but otherwise they are all there.
Ok it work,
Great work my friend, the pictures in the forest are beautiful and the "medieval" music is a very good choice.
I did not know David Arkenstone and thanks to made me know, I really like his music and I would use later, enven if this is already done
Very funny and cool shot with the big teddy bear
I loved how Grim appreciate the forest and shares his happiness with Erik, it was a good moment.
The revelation of what Grim see proves he made the right choice by killing Astrid and
sparing Erik's father , although I always thought he had made the best decision.
It was a wonderful statement that Erik did for Grim, his words so sincere and friendly shows once more the noble nature of Erik. Grim does not seem to have a very high esteem of himself...
Anyway, I really love the words that you choose for this speech.
Wolfgar is always there to cheer up the troops!
It seems that Erik have the ability to see into the spirit of Wolfgar through this vision of the great teddybear, I wonder how that happened, but it can be a good thing for them!
I'm looking forward to see the festivity planned by Sam!
I wrote a comment a little different and better written / understandable before this one, but a bug in the Nexus has not validated and so I had to restart all and translate again...
So I hope this review is not too poorly written :/ (Also, missing some things I said, but I do not have the courage to remake the full translation again)
Another fun group is Medieval Babes. They try to recreate actual music from the time. Sample:
Thank you for the comment, much obliged! You got all the high points translated correctly and picked up on all the important things I wanted to convey in this chapter - Grim's honesty and letting Erik know why he did what he did; His sadness over being more of an "object" to many people who just want his power or to control it (i.e. Astrid) and feeling like a freak for not being normal; and, of course, how Erik and Wolfgar help him enjoy his life.
More coming soon and thanks again for the two comments (since you lost one of them)!
Side note - I often write my comments in Notepad and paste in. All to often I lost a comment that took me a good 10-20 minutes to write and it always sucks. At the very least select all and copy before I hit any buttons :p
I always Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C (copy all, paste) before posting a comment, too, in case it gets eaten. Been doing that since my first web forums in the late '90s. And yeah, I've saved a few comments in txt files too -- mostly longer ones, or ones that required more research or prep work.
Anyway, sorry to hijack this subthread, Basstos. And Grim, I'll have to check that video out later when I'm not listening to a friend's stream.
I saw on wikipedia that David Arkenstone was more in the new age style, but as you said it fits well with the fantasy
Thanks for this video, they are great singers and dancer, very nice I don't know before
And thanks too AaronOfMpls for your tips that might help me in the future, especially the Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C that they have highly useful!
Thanks for the comment and feedback Greenbms!
We seldom see ourselves as others see us, especially in cases where there is a large divide in power, wealth, fame, or status. Grim certainly has his perks but there are plenty of down sides as well. At least that was what I was trying to convey - meaning he has his own emotional worries and self-image issues.
Greatly written, how the three travel through the Rift, and fantastic images of this area.
The Teddy image is incredible, and i`m curious about the tricks, with which Erik can see the mental images from Wolfgar!
I wonder how it is now that Erik got the image as well???
Very interesting!!
