First off, I have to say that this is one of the best mods I've ever found. I have always been a fan of the Lord of the Rings, and I was totally blown away by the MERP (Middle Earth Restoration Project). I wish it had been fully realized, because it would have been out of this world amazing. But this comes close. It is very well written, and the weapons are flawless, I mean all the textures work like they're supposed to. There's not very many Lord of the Rings mods, and I really love this one. The quests are a little short, but they're pretty cool for what it's worth. Although it would be awesome if the quests were longer, or if it took you on a full-fledged adventure, they're still epic as hell. Awesome job dude!
Some some weapons I would have suggested for this mod: Gandalf's staff Lothlorien Bow Anduril, Flame of the West Aragorn's Strider Sword The One Ring
But other than that, definitely putting this as one of my favorites!
Also, quick question: I fully explored the cave, found all eight weapons, and killed all of the enemies inside. Is the quest still supposed to remain active, or is there more to it than I am missing? Thanks!
Hey, I just dropped by totally by chance (haven't been on Nexus for a couple of years) - thank you so much for your kind words!
As for your question: well, it's been 15 years since the last update, I honestly don't remember much... I remember you had to find first the body in the boat, collect items, go to cave, kill and collect, then maybe the quest ended upon exiting the cave? Make sure you collect all the weapons AND the shield... I am really sorry I can't remember more, but it's been a while...
Considering this mod hadn't been updated in 6 years when you posted this comment, and now six years later the mod still hasn't been updated, I think it's safe to say they did not consider your request LOL
Dumb question but Ive searched the cave mutiple times for the 5th weapon, since my journel entries have said I only have 4/5..Which are sting, glandring, Ocrist and hadafang... Where is it? or a hint lol
Did you get the Uruk cleaver? That could be the 5th weapon, I honestly don't remember much, it's been about 8 years since the release... Edit: sorry, I just looked at the files, I think you are missing Boromir's sword, which is supposed to be in the boat on the lake next to the cave. Note that, due to crappy physics engine, sometimes things can fall through the boat's floor (although I added even a collision box to prevent that). In case you don't see it there, just TCL on the console and "dive" under... Sorry for the inconvenient, blame it on Beth...
If anyone's still watching this mod, can you tell me if it's compatible with Unique Landscapes? When trying to find Mungo Cave at the start of the second quest, my map marker is just pointing to the side of a hill.
Mingo cave is a vanilla Oblivion location, this mod does not move its exterior, it just puts a new locked door on it, and adds stuff to the interior. Before you get to Mingo cave, however, you should find a camp between it and the boat.
