1. DESCRIPTION
------------------

A New Beginning

Basically, this mod is just another modified start of The Elderscrolls IV: Oblivion.
You begin the game as a refugee from your former life in a distant country. You have taken all your money and booked a passage on the pirate ship "The Sea Tub Clarabella". After a small race-birthsign-class-creation dialoge with Captain Baszone Patneim you are transported to the quai in Anvil, where the ship is normally docked. Further, the original starting sequence, also known as Tutorial Dungeon or Charactergen Dungeon, has been presevered as a normal quest. If you are arrested in the Imperial City (or at least by a guard of the Imperial Watch Faction) you will be brought to the "off limits cell" of the Tutorial Dungeon instead of the normal prison cell. All creatures have been changed to be leveled creatures. The race, birthsign and class choosing menus during the dialogues with the Emperor and Baurus have been changed accordingly. Everything else hase been preserved.

2. Requirements

Oblivion v1.0.228 original release or higher

3. INSTALLING THE PLUGIN
------------------

Place plugin file and sound-folder into the Data folder of your Oblivion directory.
If you are asked if existing files or folders should be overwritten, choose yes.
I recommend the usage of Oblivion Mod Manager and loading ANB.esp as the last plugin.

4. SAVE GAMES
------------------

Savegames will most certainly not work properly. Useage of this Mod at your own risk!

5. CONFLICTS / KNOWN ERRORS
------------------

No known issues or errors yet. The Mod should be completely compatible with every mod, which doesnt change either the charactergen quest or the player character npc. Please report any bugs and/or incompatibilities.

This Mod is done completly by me... so... well... I'll just spare the self-praise. Big thank goes to all the people of Bethesta for creating this splendid game and of course to the huge community of elderscrolls fans for inspiration and keeping the elderscrolls saga alive.

8. Bugfixes
------------------

V 1.2 Fixed a Greeting-Topic bug (thanks to holliberri).
Fixed Official DLC Plugins Starting. They are now all starting.
Changed poverty-issue. Added 100 Gold to players starting inventory.

V 1.1 Fixed Rumors and Black Horse Courier. No more future foretelling.

V 1.0 Complete Mod redone. Killed and removed half thought-out character to start Mainquest and replaced him with mixeup at the Imperial Watch. Made Quest compatible to Dark Brotherhood Quest.

NOTE: I realize, that it is not quite realistic, that a prisoner is allowed to keep all of his possessions including all his weapons. However I havent found a way yet to unequip all items and store them somewhere to be picked up later. So I rather left them for good for now.

V 0.51 Fixed a bug, after that a conversation screen was not dismissed.
