You don't need to be especially sharp-eyed to notice, that standard Oblivion icon doesn't look too accurate. It's rough, frankly saying, in contrast with the game itself. If this fact spoils to your mood before the game, just use Quality OBLIVION icons instead. This collection is made of original Bethesda art with extreme accuracy, so you will never feel it to be "alien".

The collection consists of well-known good-looking icon for Oblivion and two additional icons for Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles expansion packs. In version 4 these icons were remade using source images of higher resolution and less salient shadow effect. All icons include standart system sizes in 32-bit color scheme up to 256x256 size to provide full Windows Vista and Windows 7 support.

Installer puts these icons on your desktop as shortcuts, that launch the same Oblivion Launcher. Icon files could be found in your Oblivion folder.

Version 4 can also patch Oblivion.exe and OblivionLauncher.exe files and replace embedded rough icons with quality ones. So, if you patch, you'll get all right on the taskbar and window title bar, when you lauch game, and in the explorer window, when you open Oblivion folder.

Version 4.1 succesfully patches Oblivion.exe, modified by the memory patch (reported by Zombiemold)

Note! Patched executables become unavailable for other patches. To return your files to the original state, please run icons uninstaller and select "unpatch executables". If this installer fails to patch your executables, please send them to my e-mail and next version of installer will support them.

Note! This mod is not compatible with OBSE.
