It's not used in the game, it is for making clothes and armor that would be used in the game. Kinda why it is in the utilities category.

An example of what this body does compared to copying from one mesh and then another is found in the bracers in this: The Red Lady outfit and weapons at Oblivion Nexus - mods and community (nexusmods.com) The original V1.0 upload has bracers that had the weights copied from the upper body and then the hands because they extended past the mesh split on the forearms. In the game the bracers clipped badly. In first person view using the immersive first person mod the wrists were positively mangled but looked OK in third person. After copying from this mesh they don't clip badly, and the results without any manual cleanup can be seen in the V1.1 update.

Original was done with 3DS Max several years ago, update was from Blender 2.49b Portable downloaded from here.

There is also an issue this overcomes, some programs do not allow copying bone weights from multiple parts. Blender 2.49b and Outfit Studio both refuse to do so and making thigh high boots means weight painting feet and toe bones.

Which method is better for this mesh?Vertexes?, Faces (how many 3,4,5?)

All Bethesda .nif use vertex weighting. I believe Oblivion uses max 3 bones per vertex, never saw more than that when manually adjusting a weight after copying to fix clipping but that could be because they use so few bones and can have more per vertex. I no longer have a copy of 3DS Max so can't check my settings.

      (4-max)

I understand why you did it, but what about the groin area?Does your mesh and warp skin give normal skinning for her? This is the most problematic part.

It's the same skinning as the HGEC BBB body so it will work the same requiring manually removing opposite leg weights with pants and shorts as well as any other cleanup in that region. I don't see changing the weights on the body to be copied will do anything as that's a byproduct of copying them unless they are skin tight and you have low distance to copy from set.

As for the skirt body it will produce better results than using legs for skirts, the skirt between the legs has a smooth transition between legs bones so the groin region of a mid thigh skirt should not be mostly the pelvis bone and not acting like a real skirt when sitting. But a mini skirt barely covering the groin(colourwheel Sexy Oblivion Overhaul skirts) will probably still do that, I don't know I haven't made one for oblivion at that length. So you may have to increase the legs weights in the front of a mini skirt if you make one.

*Edit, Knee length but loose around the legs skirt here: Huntress Outfit and Bow at Oblivion Nexus - mods and community (nexusmods.com) had the weights copied from the skirt body in this upload yesterday. Minimal cleanup was needed, just a little clipping around the hip bones when sneaking but that happens when it is as close to the body as it is.
