Complete Clutter and Crop Ownership

Shivering Isles

Description

This mods adds logical ownership to random clutter, containers, and crops throughout Cyrodiil and the Shivering Isles. This means it is now a crime to take these items, which makes the game more difficult as there is less free stuff available.

Stealing from plants does not actually count as a crime due to an engine bug, but this is fixed by EngineBugFixes.

Details

This mod was made by a rigorous process of filtering and cross-checking using TES4Edit and the Construction set. Therefore, I'm pretty confident in saying that no objects in the vanilla game have been missed, so you shouldn't see any odd ownership inconsistencies (though, if you do, please report it so I can fix it).

In general, if there was a faction which could own the item, I favoured that; otherwise, I selected an appropriate NPC.

You will gain access to containers in the Arcane University and Arena District if you join the appropriate factions.

Installation

This mod requires:
  • Shivering Isles

Standard installation. Just add the file to your data folder using your mod manager of choice.

Uninstallation

This mod can be uninstalled at any time and will have no permanent effects on your game, aside from some maybe stolen stuff that is...

Compatibility

Mods which modify the same container references will conflict and overwrite my ownership assignments (so check that first before you report a missed object). The Unofficial Oblivion Patch fixes the placement of several objects, but I have already forwarded all these fixes.
